MSMD: Kate Spade Color Block Nails

Monday, June 3, 2013

Hello night owls! This is a pretty late post but I wanted to get my Monkey See Monkey Do challenge up today. I decided to recreate some color block nails inspired by Abby from Lovely In Lacquer. She did Designer Inspired: Kate Spade Color Blocks where she took inspiration from color block bags. I've never attempted to do color block nails at all but I think there perfect for the season and its an easy way to spice up your manicure. Let's see my recreation!

Julep, Sally Hansen, Misa, China Glaze, Color Club, Sinful Colors, Seche Vite

First, I applied Julep Nail Therapy as my base coat. For my base color, I used Sally Hansen Even Fog. Starting with my pinky finger, I used Misa Lather, Rinse, Repeat, China Glaze Towel Boy Toy, Color Club Amp'd Up, Misa Green with Envy, and Sinful Colors Folly for the color blocking. I topped it all off with my Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

I free handed the color blocks so the lines are kind of crooked. Other than that, I love this manicure! Its such a great way to spice up a neutral color. What do you think?

Just wanted to say I think this will probably be my last Monkey See Monkey Do post. There doesn't seem to be a lot of active participation in this challenge so I want to do something else on Mondays from now on. Let me know what you guys think I should do.

Be sure to check out the other MSMD manicures below!
