Step Into Summer Challenge - Inspired by the Pool

Sunday, June 30, 2013

Good morning! Here's another theme I completed for the Step Into Summer Challenge hosted by the Hobby Polish Bloggers. Today, I'm doing a manicure inspired by the pool. I had no idea what to do so I went with something simple. I decided to recreate the pool water on my nails. Here's the picture I drew inspiration from.

Pool Water

Let's see how this translated on my nails!

Saran Wrap Nails
Juelp, Essie, OPI, Sephora by OPI, Seche Vite

First, I applied Julep Nail Therapy as my base coat. For my base color, I used Essie Borrowed & Blue. After that's completely dry, I used the saran wrap method to dab on OPI Suzi Says Feng Shui and Sephora by OPI Blue Grotto. Lastly, I applied my Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat to smooth out my manicure and to add some shine.

I love how easy the saran wrap technique was! The effect it created on my nails is so pretty and it totally reminds me of water. What do you think of this manicure?

    2. That wasn't your fault Lisa. OPI said it was a step by step when they shared her photo photon their Facebook page. Her original post was not a step by step. She had no idea they were going to share her photo.

    3. Thank you Sarah! Yeah, when OPI posted saying it was a step by step, I was a bit confused since it wasn't, lol.

    4. I thought yours was a good step by step. Its pretty and you told us how you do it. If people aren't reading it well, they might think it's a step by step of the saran wrap method. But you did a really well step by step of how are you did your manicure.

I have yet to get suzi fung shway, but this makes me want it even more. love the marble look, and love me some pool. I was going to do a blue manicure today but I think I'll do this and add some sparkles on top.
