Oh Mon Dieu! 31 Day Challenge Day 17 - Gradient

Hey everyone! First off, I want to say happy birthday to my brother! Two of my sibling have July birthdays like me except for my oldest sister. Her birthday is in August. July is like birthday central since I'm on the 4th, my sister's on the 13th and my brother on the 17th. Let's see what I have for today's Oh Mon Dieu! It’s the Rather Awesome 31 Day Challenge.

For day 16, the theme is gradient. I decided to go with a full gradient manicure since I have yet to do one on my blog. I decided to go with some brighter shades just to make the colors pop off the nails more. Let's see how it turned out.

For my base color, I used Sally Hansen Lavender Cloud. After that's dry, I took a makeup sponge and painted on the same color as well as Misa Lather, Rinse, Repeat and Color Club Amp'd Up in order to sponge on the gradient. By applying the same base color on the sponge, I'm helping the gradient blend in better. Lastly, I applied my OPI Top Coat to further blend the gradient together.

I rarely do sponge gradients since its always such a mess to clean up but the effect on the nails is awesome. I love how this looks and the colors I chose really blended well together. What do you think of my gradient manicure?

      Thanks Jennifer! Don't be nervous! It was pretty easy to do but the clean up was just a little messy.
