Hello again! I'm doing another theme for the Step Into Summer Challenge hosted by the Hobby Polish Bloggers. There's only one more manicure left for me to do after this one! I'm really excited in almost finishing this challenge. It was super fun to participate in and some lovely manicures were created too.
For the gradient theme, I decided to recreate a gradient half moon manicure inspired by Jacqui from Craftynail. She did a Purple Halfmoon Gradient. I've never attempted to do a half moon design before and I rarely do a sponge gradient so I thought it would be a perfect fit for this theme.
For my base color, I used Sephora by OPI Ocean Love Potion. Using some paper hole enforcers, I used them to block off the top part of my nails in a half moon shape. Taking Sephora by OPI Blue Grotto and Orly Ancient Jade, I used a makeup sponge to sponge the two colors on my nails to create a gradient effect. Lastly, I applied my OPI Top Coat to smooth out the manicure.
I really liked how this turned out! You can do this design with a bunch of different color combinations too. What do you think of my gradient manicure?
