Good morning! I'm going to attempt to get all my textbooks today so wish me luck that I will be able to get everything at a good price. I was planning to get my student ID as well but those don't start until next week. I'm pretty busy next week too so I decided I'll just go again on the one free day I have to quickly get it along with my student bus pass. Can you believe I'm working 6 days for the next two weeks? Its crazy even though I wrote down that I wanted to work a maximum of 4 days on my availability. Let's see the polish I have today.
China Glaze Mahogany Magic is a brown creme with a hint of yellow/olive undertones to it. This is a pretty unique brown in my collection because the tone of color is almost dirty on my nails. I don't know if I like it or not. Formula and application was good though. I applied two coats below.
This is definitely one of those ugly colors that looks good. I'm not sure if it works with my skin tone though. Its a nice color in my collection regardless. What do you think of this color?

Hmm... I'm not sure about this color, I know it definitely wouldn't look good on me...
ReplyDeleteAre you getting your textbooks online?? They're so much cheaper that way!! Crazy work :)
Yeah, I'm not sure about it too. I'll probably just use it in my nail art designs. Nope, going to be buying them all in person. That online site you showed me doesn't carry the majority of the books I need anyways.
DeleteI have this shade too, I don't like it alone though personally! I use it all the time in nail art though!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kelly! I'll probably be using it in nail art too :)
DeleteIt looks pretty great alone, but I imagine it would look better with some sort of design on it!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree! :)
DeleteALthough I might not wear this alone, it would be great for nail art or layering!
ReplyDeleteTotally Amber! :)
DeleteDo you remember what Scrangie said about this one? It's interesting...but lovely swatches, as always! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha I think I do but I don't want to say it out loud. Thanks Melissa! :)
DeleteLooks like melted chocolate! :)
ReplyDeleteI guess it does! :)
DeleteIt totally does look chocolatey! I'm shy about browns, too, especially cremes, but this one does look nice on you :) Best of luck getting all your textbooks in one fell swoop! That'd be quite the accomplishment! ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Liesl! :D
DeleteIt is hard to find a good brown...it looks great on you!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of this, but it looks great on you! Good luck getting your textbooks :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! Unfortunately, my textbook hunt today didn't go so well. I'm going next week again so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will be more successful.
DeleteThis shade is ugly in the bottle but looks beautiful on nails..
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI find the color okay-okay.But it does look great on your nails (:

DeleteOoh I quite like this! I love a good chocolate brown :P Ugh I remember getting textbooks too Lisa! I remember a Chemistry one we ad to get was $150 and we barely used it! Ridiculous! Try The Book Depository, you might find some there cheaper!
ReplyDeleteThanks Em! :) Yeah, one time I paid $180 for a textbook only to realize my instructor didn't really refer to it or use it much in our class. Such a bummer to loose out on so much money on it.
