Winne the Pooh Nails

Wednesday, August 21, 2013

Good morning! I have a different kind of nail art design for you today. I did a character manicure inspired by cutepolish. Check out her video tutorial on Cute Winnie the Pooh Nails. I'm not that amazing on doing characters so when I saw this tutorial from her, I knew I had to try it out. Plus, Winnie the Pooh was one of my favorite childhood characters growing up.

Nicole by OPI, American Apparel, Seche Vite, dotting tool

I used Nicole by OPI Hit The Lights and created a head shape using the brush on the bottle. Then taking a large dotting tool, I dotted ears on the side of the head. For the details on the face, I used a toothpick and a dotting tool with American Apparel Hassid to create the facial features. Finished it off with a coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Yikes! This turned out so bad! Not only did I smudge the design thus ruining it when I applied my top coat but the lines I created with the toothpick didn't turn out as smooth as I wanted. Its not my best but since it was my first time doing an actual character, it turned out okay. What do you think of my Winnie the Pooh nails?

  1. Personally I think they are uber cute and I love that they are on a nude nail. I think the lines look great! We are all our own very worst critics you know ;) I do understand the pain of smudged designs though - it breaks the heart after all the hard work.
