Happy Monday! I have a serious dilemma everyone. I'm thinking of dropping out of my keyboarding class since I don't believe I can pass it. My class did a two minute testing and after many tries, the best I could do was 30WPM and that includes two errors too. What does everyone think? Should I just drop out and take a beginner keyboarding class next semester or should I stick with it and possibly fail? Anyway, let's see the polish I have to show today.
Barielle Cashmere Or Loose Me is a medium brown creme with a subtle reddish bronze shimmer in it. The color reminds me a little of milk chocolate so its definitely a warmer tone brown which I like on my nails. As you can see, the shimmer isn't really that noticeable but it is in there. Formula and application was good too. This is two coats.
I always love a good brown color so I'm happy with this polish. Plus, the really subtle shimmer adds a nice touch compared to other straight up cremes. What do you think of this color?

Good morning! Here's my last manicure for this month's technique theme for The Nail Challenge Collaborative. Its the most unique and out there design I've done so far for this challenge too. I decided to combine stamping with the saran wrap technique to create some cool looking nails. Let's see what I did then.
For my base color, I used Orly Ancient Jade. After making sure the base color is dry, I painted OPI It's My Year on top and quickly dabbed a piece of saran wrap on it to create this effect on the nails. When that's dry, I stamped using American Apparel Hassid with BM-321 using the lace design. Finished it off with Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.
This turned out way better than I expected it to be when I was creating it. The colors I used wasn't something I would normally combine but they work here. I still need to practice on my stamping though since the lace design didn't transfer so well here. What do you think of this manicure?

Hello everyone! I'm back from my class today and I'm tired. For some reason, this week I've been really sore and tired more than normal. I've kind of been stressed so that might be one of the reasons why I haven't been feeling great. At least doing my nails is soothing and a time for me to relax. Let's see the polish I have today.
Darling Diva Polish The Harbinger has red and silver hexagon glitters along with small gold glitters in a shimmery blue flakie base. This polish is a wonderful subtle shimmery glitter top coat. I love that its so sparse with the glitters because it allows whatever color you layer on top to not get overpowered by it. The small blue flakie pieces absolutely glows here too which makes it so pretty. This is one coat over China Glaze Starboard.
I'm really loving this combination together. The blue flakie pieces in this polish works so well with the green base color here. I can picture so many colors to layer this polish with. What do you think of this color?

Hello everyone! This is my third manicure for this month's technique theme for The Nail Challenge Collaborative. I decided to go with taping or making my own nail decals as the technique of choice. I had great success doing chevron nails before that I decided to do another one. Let's see how it turned out.
I'm starting to get the hang of using my homemade nail decals. It does take some patience placing them on but the result always turn out great. I'm loving how the colors look together too. What do you think of my green and grey chevron nails?
For my base color, I used Misa Taking Chances. Prior to painting my nails, I made homemade chevron nail decals by taking a piece of parchment paper and painting a coat of polish on it. After letting it dry overnight, I cut the chevron stripes with a pair of zig zag scissors. I used American Apparel Malibu Green and OPI Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine! for the chevron stripes. Lastly, I applied Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Good morning everyone! The weather is starting to get colder which I'm liking since I'm a fan of the cold weather over the hot. That also means I need to get myself a new jacket since the one I usually wear this time of the year is getting old. Let's see the polish I have to share today though.
China Glaze Starboard is a medium green creme. I own very few greens so this is a lovely color in my collection. I love that its like the perfect grass green that's not overly bright or dark on the nails. Its also just a straight up green without any other undertones to it. Formula and application was great. This is two coats.
Such a great green this is! I would totally wear it alone as a manicure or use it in my nail art designs. I like that its almost acts like a transitional polish to wear in between the seasons too. What do you think of this color?

Hello everyone! I've been slacking on this month's technique theme for The Nail Challenge Collaborative so I wanted to share another manicure today. This one has been a long time coming and its the famous waterfall manicure created by The Nailasaurus. Ever since I first saw it on her blog, I wanted to try the design out but I've never attempted it until now. If you want to learn how to create them, check out her Waterfall Nail Art Tutorial. Let's see how mine turned out.
For my base color, I used Nabi Baby Pink. Taking a skinny nail art stripper brush, I used OPI From A to Z-urich, Essie Smokin' Hot, and Nicole by OPI It Starts With Me to create the waterfall design. The key is to make each line a different length to get the best effect on the nails. Lastly, I applied Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.
These turned out great for my first try even though I did go a little overboard with the amount of lines here. I tried to choose fall colors while still keeping the manicure on the brighter side for this look and I think I achieved that. I love how the colors look together here. What do you think of my first waterfall manicure?

Good morning! My hands and fingers are aching from all the keyboarding I've been doing lately. My instructor actually noticed that the majority of us weren't touch typing so she recommended that we do an online typing program for two weeks to get the basic technique down. I'm happy that she decided to do that since its been helping so far. I'm not the fastest but I'm not making as much errors as I used to. Let's see what polish I have today!
Nicole by OPI Hit The Lights is a bright yellow creme. Yellows don't really look nice on me so I don't own much of them in my collection. However, I actually like this one. Its not the most flattering on me but I think its a great color for nail art. Formula wasn't the best though. I've tried swatching this color multiple times and it always turns out patchy with some noticeable bald spots along with some bubbling. This is two coats below.
Even though this color isn't the most flattering on me, I'm still happy to have it in my collection. Its always nice to have staple colors to break out and wear every once in a while. What do you think of this color?

Hey everyone! I had a pretty easy weekend so I did some swatches beforehand just to make sure I'll have some content to post this week. I'm going to try to post at least every other day for my new blogging schedule. I've been stressed with my keyboarding class so I've been trying to practice everyday to improve my skills but its been tough. At least the color I'm showing you all today makes my day a little brighter.
OPI Let Me Entertain You is a fuchsia glass fleck with a pretty hot pink shimmer running through it. The shine in this color is incredible and I just love how the shimmer in this polish glows. The formula almost acts like a jelly polish with its translucent quality but its much more opague than one. Application was great too. This is two coats below.
I'm really happy to have this polish in my collection since its such a lovely shade. It almost reminds me of a pretty jewel. Any polish with this kind of finish to it is a winner in my eyes. What do you think of this color?

Plus, I got my first texture polishes which I'm so excited to try out and to see how I like them. What has everyone else been hauling?
