Subtle Flakies and Glitters

Saturday, September 7, 2013

Good morning! My first week back to college was good. I'm a little nervous about my keyboarding class though since I've never had any formal practice typing the right way. I'll have to practice a lot to improve then. With classes and work, I didn't have much time to do anything will my nails so they've been naked this whole week. I did do some manicures last week so I'm showing you one today. Hopefully, I'll have a schedule set for the blog soon so I can post regularly too.

Hard Candy, Born Pretty Store Round Glitter, Duri, Revlon, Icing, Seche Vite

I started with Hard Candy Piece Of Papaya on my pinky, pointer, and thumb. Taking my Born Pretty Store black round glitters, I applied one piece on each nail. Use coupon code YCD91 for an additional 10% off your entire order. For my ring and middle finger, I have on Duri Sweetheart. Then I applied Revlon Heavenly and Icing Rave Royalty on top to create this iridescent glitter combination. I finished it off with a coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

The glitters and flakies really make this manicure pop! I love the iridescent and subtle quality of them. I also love using my Born Pretty Store round glitters as subtle accents on my nails like this. What do you think of this manicure?

  1. How fun is this?! There's, like, sooo much going on here and it looks like an end of summer partay on your nails :)
Best of luck with the keyboarding class :) I can type fairly fast and I do the whole asdf jkl; thing but I still have to stare at my fingers rather than the screen.

    1. Thanks Liesl! I really love how this came out.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed I can do well. I've never really typed the right way so I'll have to change my technique asap. Yeah, I stare at my fingers too when I type but I'll loose technique marks if I can't touch type :(

  2. Ohhhh, pretty combination! Totally in love :)

By the way, don't worry so much about your keyboarding class! You'll love it. It won't take you long to get used to at all :) I took that class before. So I know lol

  3. Cute mani! I never had a keyboarding class but typing papers throughout highschool / college I am a pretty good keyboard-ist (if that is a word) I use the correct finger and don't look at the keys but it just came with time; I'm sure you'll be fine. :)

    1. Thanks Stephanie! Yeah, I can type but just not in the correct way. I usually can keyboard without looking at my fingers much but when I get nervous, I start messing up. I'll really have to practice a lot.
