Tribal Print with Gold Square Studs

Saturday, October 5, 2013

Hey everyone! Today, I have a super fun design using nail studs for the first time in my nail art adventures. I got a nail art stud wheel from Born Pretty Store. This particular one features a variety of sizes to experiment with. I also got inspired by a new channel to try out a tribal print design on the nails too. The tribal print was inspired by HannahRoxNails. She did an awesome tutorial on it called Watercolor Tribal Nail Art. Let's see how mine turned out.

Sally Hansen, Ulta, Wet n' Wild, L'Oreal, Seche Vite

First, I painted my ring and thumb nail with Sally Hansen White On. Then starting with my pinky, I have on Ulta Sun-Sational, Wet n' Wild Candy-licious, and L'Oreal Pistachio Dream. Taking a makeup sponge, I sponged on those three colors on the white nails. Taking a black acrylic paint pen, I did a simple tribal design on top. Then taking some Born Pretty Store gold square studs, I placed one on each colored nail with a pair of tweezers. Use coupon code YCL91 for an additional 10% off your entire order. After letting everything dry, I applied Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Here's a closer look at the nail art stud wheel from Born Pretty Store. You get a mix of silver and gold studs along with some black studs too. I really like the sizes on them since they weren't as big as I expected them to be which I like since my nails are on the smaller end. The price is affordable at $4.89 and its almost always on sale too. There's a lot of ways to use them in your nail art too, so the possibilities are endless.

This was my first time using nail studs and I love the look of them. The stud wheel has a lot of variety for me to choose from and it includes a good mix of sizes too. It was also my first time using an acrylic paint pen and it was pretty easy to work with. I like how much control it gives me. What do you think of my manicure?
