Coral Shimmer with Texture Accent

Wednesday, December 18, 2013

Hello everyone! Today, I'm showing you a manicure I was wearing a while back near the end of my fall semester for college. Whenever I don't have a lot of time to spend on my nails, I usually go for something really easy. I'm a pretty minimalistic individual so I love simple nail art designs. This is no exception so let's see what I wore.

For my base coat, I applied Julep Nail Therapy. I started with Pure Ice Twinkle on all my nails except for the ring finger. For the ring finger, I did a texture accent nail using Julie G Sugar Rush. I finished with Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat on all my nails except for the ring finger.

Most of the time when I wear nail polish, I usually only have on one nail color with the occasional accent nail. When I'm really busy with school or with my part time job, this is the fastest way for me to get a nice looking manicure without spending a lot of time on my nails. What do you think of this manicure?

  2. The contrast between the two textures works really well! I agree, adding an accent nail is the simplest way to get a nice looking manicure quickly. :)

    1. Thank you! I just choose randomly to be honest. It doesn't all turn out that great but at least I get to try out new and different combinations I wouldn't have otherwise put together.

  11. love this combo! I don't do accent nails much because I always end up obsessing over whether the colors "match" or not lol... I really like how you used very similar colors just textured and non-textured looks great!

    1. Thanks and you should try experimenting with an accent nail. I usually just go with whatever I think would look good and even if it doesn't turn out great, I like that I at least tried something different :)
