I've been practicing on my stamping skills but I can never seem to fully transfer the image as perfectly as I want. I guess I need to practice more. Let's see what I have today.
First, I started with Nicole by OPI My Jay Or The Highway! on my ring and middle nail. I stamped with Essie Mesmerize using Born Pretty Store stamping plate AQ62 with my Konad stamper and scraper set. Use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off. For the rest of the nails, I used Julep Nora. Finished with Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat on only the stamped nails.
Like the previous stamping plate I reviewed from Born Pretty Store, this one also came wrapped with a blue film on the top and bottom to prevent any scratches. Again, no paper backing so be careful not to cut yourself when handling them.
Here's a close look at the stamping plate. What drew me into this plate was the fish bone images. That has to be the next image I want to try out on my nails. These cost $2.99 but you can use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order.
I still need practice with nail art stamping but overall, I like how this turned out. I like the contrast between the suede and the glossy nails here. If you have any tips or advice on how I can improve on my stamping skills, let me know. What do you think of this manicure?
*Born Pretty Store provided the stamping plate for
review purposes. My opinion is 100% honest. Post does contain affiliate

I just bought my first Julep the other day and now I want this shade!!
ReplyDeleteIts a pretty suede color but I'm not sure if I like the formula. It was pretty thick. What color did you pick up?
DeleteThis is super cute! I love your color/texture combination :D I've had the same problem with Julep's formula, but it really does look great on you!
ReplyDeleteThanks Amy! :)
DeleteGreat stamping Lisa! Love your colour combo.
ReplyDeletei love the way the colors come together! as for your stamping issue... make sure you're working as fast as possible... sometimes this happens if the polish dries in the metal plate before it's picked up especially for the thin lines... if that doesn't help maybe try a different stamper? I've heard lots of good things about the XL squishy stamper but haven't tried it personally
ReplyDeleteThanks for the advice! I do take a bit longer to get the stamper on my nails so I guess that why it didn't transfer well. I also tried filing the stamper and that seemed to help with getting the image on it too.
DeleteCute mani :)
ReplyDeleteCute :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI honestly thought you drew it on your nails! :D
ReplyDeleteNo way, I'm not that good but I'm happy to hear you thought so :)
DeleteI need to get in on this stamping trend, this is nice!
ReplyDeleteYou should, its a great way to get very detailed designs without the hard work :)
DeletePretty swatches <3
ReplyDeleteThanks! <3
DeleteYour stamping looks awesome!!! the whole mani just flows together, you know? The only advice about stamping that other readers haven't said yet is to wipe the plate with acetone before you use it. Also, make sure your stamper is clean before you use it; i usually press it with a lint roller. It really just takes a lot of practice!! When I was starting out I was AWFUL, and it took me forever and then some to get better. And you have nearly mastered stamping!!! so keep on practicing!!! =))
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips! I'll definitely keep that in mind :)
DeleteYay! You're stamping again. :-) I really like that Julep.
ReplyDeleteI'm attempting too! I always get impatient and add my top coat too fast though, lol.
DeleteVery cute looking manicure!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteThis is an adorable manicure, and great color choices. I've never tried the Born Pretty plates, but I have been eyeing them...
