I was inspired to create leopard hearts after seeing TrailerHood Chic's post on Leopard Heart Grunge nails for Valentines Day. I went for a pink/red version and added my own twist to it.
I started with Sally Hansen I Pink I Can on my ring and middle nail. I created my leopard hearts print using American Apparel Coney Island and Gosh Hot Coral with a dotting tool. For the rest of my nails, I used Gosh Hot Coral and applied a glitter using Oopsie Daisies With a Cherry on Top. Then, I used tweezers to help me apply some Born Pretty Store round pastel pink studs on the base of each red nail. Finished with Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.
Here's a closer look at the pastel square and tear drop stud wheel from Born Pretty Store. I love the mix of colors and the sizing on them is perfect for me to do nail art with. Not too big or small. These cost $7.59 for 300 pieces but you can use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your entire order too.
The leopard hearts turned out a little more messy than what I wanted. Next time, I'll use a toothpick to outline them instead of a dotting tool. I kind of went crazy filling in the spaces too. What do you think of my leopard hearts with the round pink studs?
