This month's theme for The Nail Challenge Collaborative is untried. I'm using a bunch of Sephora by OPI polishes this time. I've been loving this particular technique using a fan brush so I wanted to share it with everyone. It kind of has a hazy looking effect to it.
I started with Sephora by OPI Let's Pilé
on all the nails. For the ring nail, I did a glitter accent using Sephora by OPI It's Bouquet With Me. With a fan brush, I applied Sephora by OPI Metro Chic and Sephora by OPI Skinny Jeans on my nails to create this haze looking effect to it. Lastly, I finished with Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top Coat.
I love how this looks. The blue adds a nice pop of color. What do you think of this manicure?

I am sad I don't have any of those polishes...LOL. This is a great "work friendly" color scheme!
ReplyDeleteThanks Brandy! You can always see if you have similar colors in your collection :)
DeleteI love how your fan brush technique came out - that blue looks stunning with those neutrals! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Justina! :)
DeleteOoh, this looks great! And I have so many untrieds I should get around to using ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks! Me too, I have so much untries to get through, lol.
DeleteGorgeous combo! The fan brush technique is so easy, but makes for such an awesome look.
ReplyDeleteThanks and I totally agree! Its so easy to do but the results turn out great.
DeleteReally nice!! Love the color combo!
ReplyDeleteThank you Marisa!
Deletelove the color combination here! I should really try the fan brush thing again... i tried it over a year ago with acrylics and it didn't look like this at all... i think maybe i had too much water on my brush or something :(
ReplyDeleteThanks! Definitely give it a try. I used polish and lightly painted the tips of the fan brush then applied it on my nails to create this look. I'm sure you'll get it right if you decide to give it another try :)
DeleteLove this fan brush technique, used it once and now after seeing your post I am thinking to use it more :) Nice combo..

ReplyDeleteThanks! Give it a go when you can, you can do a lot with it :)
DeleteI like this one a lot. It reminds me of a desert vista for some reason and the glitter is a fun accent nail.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I love to add glitter accents to my manicures.
DeleteGreat idea and you have done such a good job, it looks awesome :) <3

ReplyDeleteI love your mani! The fan brush is not a tool I have mastered yet so any chance to see a mani with it inspires me more to try again. :)
Thanks Chester! You should give it another try. This technique has been something I've been loving a lot.
DeleteI like this! I know it's not brown, but the brownish-purple and the blue are so complimentary.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Glad to hear you like it :)
