I haven't done a leopard print manicure in a while so I decided to do just that. I went with a more camouflage and neutral palette for the color choices with a fun holographic accent.
First, I used Essie Sew Psyched on all the nails except for the ring nail. For the camoflauge leopard print, I have on Ciaté Cookies and Cream and Born Pretty Store Sweet Color Black Nail Art Liner. You can use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off. For the ring, I have on China Glaze Jungle Queen as the base color with Cameo Colors Lacquers Rainbows & Stuffs on top. Lastly, I finished with a coat of Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top Coat on all the nails.
I used a liner polish to outline the leopard spots and I don't think I like the overall look I got with it. I think I prefer the look I got using a dotting tool or toothpick instead because the lines aren't as smooth as they are here. What do you think?

I would never have thought to pair these two looks together but I love the way it looks! It's been ages since I've done any leopard print either!

Thanks! It was just a random pairing together too. Do a leopard print manicure then! I bet yours will be awesome too.
DeleteLove the idea of combining camouflage and leopard print! Pretty mani...
ReplyDeleteThanks! I originally wasn't going for that but in the end, it turned out to work.
DeleteLove this look, I don't think i've tried to do the camo look yet!
ReplyDeleteThank you! You should give it a try then.
DeleteI don't think I have ever done a leopard mani. I like it though and the accent nail is an unusual and fun touch.
ReplyDeleteThanks! You should do a leopard print manicure then :)
DeleteI agree the liner makes the lines a bit too even and perfect for leopard print... i think the liner would be really great for other designs though! I loved the pink mani with black stripes you did with it before :) I like the camo colors you used for this leopard print and the accent nail is really fun too!
ReplyDeleteNice to hear I'm not the only one who thinks so. I was lazy that day so I decided to use a striper polish to create the lines, lol. Thank you!
DeleteI also prefer using a dotting tool than a liner polish. I think the brush is too long so you must have really good hand control. But I think this still looks really pretty. :) You must have really good hand control, then :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Breena! I went really slow when I was doing the lines but yeah, I totally prefer the dotting tool or even a toothpick for it after trying it out with a striper polish.
