I'm a little disappointed with how the swatches for this polish turned out but I wanted to still share it with everyone. Let's see what color I have today.
Essie Mint Candy Apple is a pastel mint green creme. The color is definitely more green in real life than its appearing in the swatches below. All the pictures I took made the color look like a light pastel blue which it isn't. I'll probably do a re-swatch of this polish if I ever get a better lighting system. The formula and application was good. This is two coats with top coat.
Even though the swatches aren't showing the true color of this polish, I still like it regardless. Mints just make my hands look so tan even though I'm pale. What do you think of this color?

I still like the color! I feel like a lot of swatches of this color look like yours. Have you tried adjusting the white balance on your camera?
ReplyDeleteThanks and yeah I've noticed that too. My camera is pretty old so I don't even know if there's a white balance on it, lol. I just make sure that it doesn't have the flash on and I make sure the little flower icon is present.
DeleteThis is one of my all time favorite Essie nail polishes. I love it so much!
ReplyDeleteThat's great to hear that!
Deletesuch a pretty polish for summer :) Mint polishes are my fave..
ReplyDeleteThanks and they are one of mine too! :)
DeleteMint Candy Apple is among the min classics IMO - and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks and it is! :)
DeleteSuch a pretty, muted shade of green!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shade :)
ReplyDeleteLooks great on you!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteI'm also a huge fan of mints, don't think there are enough of them in the world :).
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to know that! There great :)
DeleteThis polish is so cute! I love mints too... I'm pretty pale and I agree that mint colors can make you look more tan :) I hate photographing greens/blues sometimes too... my camera just can't seem to get the color right sometimes :( I usually only have this issue with more vivid greens/blues... I haven't had this issue personally with lighter shades
ReplyDeleteFor me, the lighter shades like this make taking pictures of them really difficult. They don't appear true to color which is a bummer to see.
