I have a tutorial up over at Nail It! on this manicure so be sure to head over there to see how you can create it HERE. It was my first time doing a tutorial so I hope it was easy to understand and follow. I did create something similar to this in a blue version but this time around I went with a pink version just so it was a little bit different from the last one I did.
I used Spoiled by Wet n' Wild Plastic Flamingo on all the nails. Taking some french tip guideline stickers, I applied those near the base of each nail. Then taking a piece of a makeup sponge, I sponged on Gosh Hot Coral and Sally Hansen I Pink I Can. Peel off the stickers to reveal the design. Finished with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat.
I wish the curve on the half moon part was more curved because it looks straight here but I still like how this turned out. What do you think of this pink half moon gradient?

DeleteI love doing half moon gradients! I haven't done one in a long time though... I need to find something better to use to create the half moon. I agree french tip nail guides are a bit too straight... I've also used hole punch reinforcement stickers but I find those are generally thicker and don't stick on the nail very well so I always get a bit of polish underneath them :( congrats on getting your tutorial into nail it magazine! that's pretty cool :)
ReplyDeleteI used a french tip guide here and it looks very straight too. Maybe you can try making your own by using a piece of tape and cutting the curved shape if your having issues with it not being curved enough. Thanks! I was so happy to have received the opportunity.
