Polka Dot Skittle

Monday, May 12, 2014

Here's my second manicure for this month's theme of skittles for The Nail Challenge Collaborative. I love using my dotting tool so I wanted to do a skittle using that particular tool.

Polka Dot Skittle Nail Art

First, I applied Nicole by OPI Stand By Your Manny on my pinky, Nicole by OPI Naturally on my ring and middle, and Nicole by OPI Alex By The Books on my pointer and thumb. For the nail art, I did various polka dot designs using the colors I've already mentioned on all the nails except for the pinky. Finished with a coat of Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top Coat.

I love how the colors work together here. What do you think of this polka dot skittle?

  2. Great color combo, and I especially love the polka dot gradient :) I haven't attempted one of those yet but was actually thinking about trying that for my next mani!

  11. This is so cute Lisa! I love the colors you used :) I also really like how you changed up the dots... evenly spaced traditional polka dots, gradient dots from the tip and from the cuticle. I also like how Stand By Your Manny is shimmery while the rest of the dots are creme finishes... its a nice touch!

    1. Thanks! That was what I was going for since for skittle nails, each nail has to be a little different from one another.
