Packaging
The Wish Eyecurl comes in two colors: black and white. I received mine in white to review which I'm happy about. It comes packaged in a plastic packaging that includes a pamphlet and instructions on how to use the tool. Its a pretty sleek plastic eyelash curler with a removable protective cap to help cover the wand. There's a easy on and off switch that lights up when you turn it on. It doesn't come with a AA battery so you do have to buy that separately.
How it Works
After putting a AA battery in, turn the Wish Eyecurl on. At the tip of the wand, you will notice a red tip that runs along the back of the wand. Wait for the red tip to turn completely white, which indicates that the eyelash curler is fully heated and is ready to be used. Apply the eyelash curler in three sections of your eyelashes. Hold it for a few seconds on the base, middle, and tip of your eyelashes. Repeat until you reached your desired curl.
My Review
I was very excited to try this Wish Eyecurl because to be honest, when I'm curling my eyelashes with a regular eyelash curler, I sometimes pinch myself with it. After testing this for around a month, I can say that I like it but I think I prefer the curl a regular eyelash curler gives me. I have pretty short straight eyelashes so I found myself spending a lot of time using this tool just to get a decent curl on them. I spent a way longer time curling my eyelashes with the Wish Eyecurl than I did with a normal mechanical eyelash curler. It does give my eyelashes a more natural curve but having to spend so much time on it, doesn't make it worth it for me.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I don't recommend the Wish Eyecurl if your looking to get very dramatic curled eyelashes. If your instead looking to give a more natural curl to your eyelashes, I say give the Wish Eyecurl a try. If you have naturally long eyelashes, this might work better out better for you though. Its definitely better as a finishing step after you've curled and applied mascara on your eyelashes to give them an extra boost/lift in my opinion.

Interesting review. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah!
DeleteI haven't tried a heated eyelash curler. I am too afraid that I'll burn myself. Haha. Great review, though. :)
ReplyDeleteI was too but surprisingly this isn't that hot. I can have this against my eyes for a while without burning myself with it. Give this a try if your wanting to try a heated eyelash curler.
DeleteI bought an Ardell heated eyelash curler off Groupon. It works better after you've applied mascara. If I put mascara on too soon after curling with normal clamp style eyelash curler, I feel like mascara straightens the curl. So I will use the heated one then....but like you said, feels like it takes some time, so not really for when you're in a rush....
ReplyDeleteAgree, this works better for me once I've curled and applied mascara for an extra lift. Its definitely not something I would use if I was in a rush too. If I had more time to spend, I would use this though.
DeleteMy first thought too was I'm going to burn myself with it! Lol good to hear it doesn't get that hot. Thanks for the honest review... I don't even own a normal eyelash curler so I probably wouldn't spend the time needed to use this
ReplyDeleteEveryone seems to think that but I can assure you, its hot but not too hot to burn yourself iwth it. Your welcome, I just wanted to share my honest experience and why it didn't work out too well for me.
DeleteGreat review - this was really tempting as a gadget to try but I guess I'll stick with my mechanicals for now. Really enjoyed this post though xx
ReplyDeleteThank you! If you have long lashes, I say give this a try. It might work better for people who have longer lashes compared to my straight and short ones.
DeleteThank you for the honest review!
ReplyDeleteI was planning on maybe buying this but after hearing about the extra time it requires I think I'll stick with my trusty Revlon and/or Quo and pass on this one: the extra curl isn't worth the extra time to me.
Your welcome! I just wanted to share my honest thoughts and experience with this tool with everyone. This was just my own experience but if you have long lashes, this might work out better for you. I've seen other reviews on this and they seem to work for a lot of people especially ones with naturally long lashes. I have stick straight and short lashes myself so that factor made it harder for me to curl them with this tool.
Deleteoh my gosh, I would totally be freaking out that I would burn my eyes! I usually don't use a curler anyway, too lazy for that =)
ReplyDeleteI can assure you, this doesn't burn the eyes at all. Your lucky then! I need to curl mine because there basically stick straight that I need to for it to be noticeable.
DeleteGreat review! My eyelashes are totally straight like yours, so I'm always looking for a better way to curl than using a traditional eyelash curler. But to be honest, I'm so lazy that I only ever do so a few times a year lol. ;)

Thank you Yun! Its nice to hear I'm not the only one with straight lashes and I totally know what you mean. Sometimes, the curl just won't hold on me so I mostly forgo curling them, lol.
Deletethe iron curler works best (full effect) if you use it after curling with a regular curler and applying and thin coat of mascara. If you use it after doing these two steps, the results are really nice. I think the iron curler is more for helping the curl stay in place
ReplyDeleteThanks for the helpful tip. I will keep that in mind when I'm using it then :)
