World Turtle Day

Here's my manicure to celebrate World Turtle Day on May 23rd. I actually didn't know about this day but I saw that the Nailpolis had a little challenge on it and I wanted to participate in it. So, I went with a simple turtle shell stamping and a turtle character accent.

I used Barielle Swizzle Stix on my ring and Barielle Cashmere Or Loose Me on the rest of my nails. I stamped with BM-313 with American Apparel Raccoon on all the nails except for the ring. For the ring, I created a turtle character using Ciaté Cookies and Cream and Sally Hansen Evening Fog along with the browns I've previously mentioned. The tools I used was a dotting tool and a toothpick. Finished with Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top Coat.

I'm a little sad the stamping didn't turn out perfect but I think it works here. What do you think?

    This is unbelievably adorable! I saw this on Instagram but had to come over here and view more pictures. xD Turtles are my favorite animal so this makes me really happy. :)

    The turtle is super cute! I think the way the stamping turned out actually makes it look more like a turtle shell... it's not a bad thing that it didn't turn out "perfect" I actually like how the stamping looks faded in certain spots :)

      Everyone seems to be loving that turtle so I'm happy to hear that. I guess your right, sometimes the faded look can work and it kind of does here too.
