Blue and Pink Polka Dot Gradient

Thursday, July 3, 2014

The theme for The Nail Challenge Collaborative this month is to recreate your first four nail art designs. When I first started nail art, I did pretty simple designs so let's see my first one.

Blue and Pink Polka Dot Gradient Nail Art

I used American Apparel Mouse on all the nails. I dotted on both Essie Borrowed & Blue and Spoiled by Wet n' Wild Plastic Flamingo on the tips of the nails to create a polka dot gradient effect using a dotting tool. Finished with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat.

In my original design, I used four colors but I went with three colors here instead to change it up a bit. I like how they turned out too. What do you think?

  2. Love the colors on this. This is such a nice mani. They are just simple dots, but with the different sizes and two colors plus being placed in that semi random pattern it just works so well.

  9. Ah that looks sooo nice! The neutral base was a great idea! I would never have thought of doing it like that but the pink pops beautifully against it.
