I used Barielle Gotta Have Fate on all the nails. With red and white acrylic paint, I created some one-stroke flowers. Finished with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat.
I found it much easier to use a dabbing motion when I was doing the one-stroke flowers than doing a stroke. I think these turned nice considering it was my first try at it. What do you think?

Deletepretty, kinda looks airbrushed.
ReplyDeleteI think you did this very well!
ReplyDeletethat's a very pretty color and i love your flower design... great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks Maya!
DeleteLooks great! One stroke designs are so gorgeous but I don't think I could handle doing one!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Totally agree, I would have never attempted to do one but since the theme was one stroke flowers, I gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised with the final results.
DeleteVery pretty! There's a Carnation that looks exactly like this :)
ReplyDeleteThanks and that's cool to know! :)
DeleteGreat job especially for a first try! :) I tried doing one stroke flowers on paper and couldn't get them to look nice so I never attempted it on my nails. Maybe I'll try a dabbing motion like you maybe it will work better for me :) thanks for the tip Lisa!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was scared that it was going to turn out really bad so I'm happy it looked pretty good in the end. I definitely found that dabbing made it much more easier for me than doing a stroke too.
DeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of these!!! Great job!
ReplyDeleteThank you Stephanie!
DeletePretty mani :) Love the one stroke flowers...
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot!
DeleteThese are great for your first attempt Lisa! I love your base colour too! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I was so surprised it turned out so well too.
DeleteYeah, I agree- these are awesome for a first try! I too am totally intimidated by one-stroke nail art, but always admire it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cait! You should give it a try if you do decide to tackle one. Its always fun to try out new things.
DeleteWow Lisa, this looks gorgeous! You did so well, I totally wouldn't know it was your first try. I love the coral base color too. :)
ReplyDelete~ Yun
Thank you Yun! I was pleasantly surprised I did so well with it too. I was sure it was going to be a disaster, lol.
DeleteOoh, I love the way you layered these, with the inner and outer rings of petals--nice and intricate! The Barielle base is really pretty too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Elizabeth!
DeleteOhh. I love how this turned out! I don't have much luck with one stroke. :(
ReplyDeleteThanks Breena! I thought I did pretty well for my first try too. You should practice on paper first. I did that before attempting it on my nails or you can try dabbing it on instead of doing a stroke. I found that worked better for me.
