Twinsie Tuesday: One-Stroke Flowers

Tuesday, July 15, 2014

For today's Twinsie Tuesday, the theme this week is one-stroke flowers which is something I've never tried to do before. I was dreading this a little bit because I feel like there hard to do even though a lot of people say they aren't. So, let's see how I did!

Red and White One-Stroke Flowers Nail Art

I used Barielle Gotta Have Fate on all the nails. With red and white acrylic paint, I created some one-stroke flowers. Finished with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat.

I found it much easier to use a dabbing motion when I was doing the one-stroke flowers than doing a stroke. I think these turned nice considering it was my first try at it. What do you think?

    1. Thanks! Totally agree, I would have never attempted to do one but since the theme was one stroke flowers, I gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised with the final results.

  7. Great job especially for a first try! :) I tried doing one stroke flowers on paper and couldn't get them to look nice so I never attempted it on my nails. Maybe I'll try a dabbing motion like you maybe it will work better for me :) thanks for the tip Lisa!

    1. Thank you! I was scared that it was going to turn out really bad so I'm happy it looked pretty good in the end. I definitely found that dabbing made it much more easier for me than doing a stroke too.

  13. Ooh, I love the way you layered these, with the inner and outer rings of petals--nice and intricate! The Barielle base is really pretty too!

    1. Thanks Breena! I thought I did pretty well for my first try too. You should practice on paper first. I did that before attempting it on my nails or you can try dabbing it on instead of doing a stroke. I found that worked better for me.
