Twinsie Tuesday: Inspired by a Book

Tuesday, August 12, 2014

The theme for today's Twinsie Tuesday is inspired by a book. This was inspired by cutepolish from her video tutorial, The Fault In Our Stars Nail Art. I was originally going to do a new design inspired by a book but I was busy with work that I didn't have enough time to plan it out in the end.

The Fault In Our Stars Book Inspired Nail Art

I used OPI Suzi Says Feng Shui on all the nails. I created the newsprint design with newspaper clippings and rubbing alcohol. For the white and black clouds, I used Salon Perfect Sugar Cube and American Apparel Hassid with a dotting tool. With a toothpick, I wrote the words using the opposing color. Finished with NYC Matte Me Crazy Mattifying Top Coat.

I haven't read the book but I really like the nail art for it so I decided to give this design a try. I liked how these turned out but I should have wrote the words a bit smaller because I did kind of run out of room on my nails at the end. What do you think?
