I received some new nail art items from Born Pretty Store so I was excited to use them. I wanted to use the bow studs first since you all know, those are like my favorite to wear especially as an accent nail on a plain manicure. Let's see what I did with them.
I created the half moon shape using french tip guides from Born Pretty Store. I painted the bottom with Jessica Tangerine Dreamz and immediately peeled off the guides. Cleaned up the curves with a small clean up brush and nail polish remover. I applied a bow stud from Born Pretty Store on my ring. Use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off. Finished with Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top Coat.
Here's a closer look at the bow studs from Born Pretty Store. They cost $5.99 for a set of 10 of them. You can use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off. Unlike the previous bow studs I've tried, these fit my nails better and don't stick out as much. They were easy to apply and I like that I can reuse them multiple times. The bow studs are also pretty sparkly in real life when the lights shines on it.
This was my first try at a negative space manicure and I think they turned out alright. I should have went a little higher up on the nails so that the negative space was more subtle instead of stopping about halfway here. What do you think?
*Born Pretty Store sent the bow studs for review purposes. My opinion is 100% honest. Post does contain affiliate links.*

ReplyDeleteThanks Shawna! Hopefully, I'll try and do more negative space manicures in the future.

Thanks!
DeleteThis is a great mani. I can't wear nail accessories or have adornments on my nails at work, but I could paint that bow on my nails in silver glitter. This is such a pretty girly look and very modern (or retro) if you consider the negative space/nude nail.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cindi! Yes, you can totally do that. If you can't wear them, its always fun to find an alternative way to sport the same look.
Deletecute half moons! I love the bow accent too!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I've been so into bow accents, I will stick it on any design I have on my nails.
