For the water marble accent nail, I first applied Milani White On The Spot as a white base. I used Sally Hansen Evening Fog, China Glaze Dress Me Up, China Glaze Mahogany Magic, and OPI William Tell Me About OPI. For the rest of the nails, I used the colors for the water marble going from lightest to darkest. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
I did cheat a little for this theme since I only did the water marble as a accent nail here. I was planning to do all the nails with the water marble design but I was really busy with studying for a test and completing a project for a class. To be honest though, the water marble accent nail was kind of a fail. What do you think?

DeleteI don't think this was a fail at all, I think your accent nail came out lovely :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteLove the colors you picked... and your water marble turned out great! Can't blame you for only wanting to do an accent though, it is a lot to clean up after!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I was planning to do the water marble design on all the nails but I didn't have time so I opted for a accent nail instead. I chose right since that one nail did need a bit of clean up.
Deletethat one accent nail looks pretty cool !
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI like this color combo. It reminds of of Neopolitan ice cream. :)

ReplyDeleteaww gawd the accent finger is to die for and the color combo is amazing :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I wasn't too happy with how the accent nail turned out but I'm happy to hear you like it.
DeleteThis looks great! I'd have never guessed this was a watermarble accent! I've never seen such clean lines before!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cordia!
DeleteIt looks pretty cool to me! I've never done more than a marble accent, so I know your pain.
ReplyDeleteThanks and its nice to know I'm not the only one then.
DeleteI think it's really cute! The neutrals work so well together!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tiffany!
DeleteI like it! It's nice an understated because you only did an accent nail, not too busy! I can't get watermarbles to work and am always so jealous when I see nice ones like this.
ReplyDeleteThanks Stephanie! I don't think my water marble turned out that great but its nice to hear you like it.
DeleteThis is in no way a cheat! It's beautiful!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Casey!
DeleteThis is so nice, reminds me of chocolate lol. I can never do marbling either :( the mess up also putts me off doing it :(
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa! Mine didn't turn out that great and agree, the mess is a pain to clean up. I might give it another shot though.
DeleteLove the colors…May I know which is the golden one…

Love the water marbling - it really brings the whole look together. For my first water marble, I only did an accent nail too - you've got to start somewhere :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Claire! I guess your right.
DeleteI love this design, the simplicity, the color combo, and that striking watermarble accent! Gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Crystal! I appreciate that.
DeleteHey Lisa sorry I’ve been so behind on commenting! I’ve been reading your blog on my phone but it is very cumbersome to comment using my phone and I haven’t had time to post on my computer!
ReplyDeleteI really like the neutral colors you used here! I like how they all come together in the water marble. I don’t think this is a fail! It may not look like a traditional water marble with petal shapes but I still think it is pretty. It reminds me of ribbons!
No worries! I don't mind at all :) Its great to hear from you though, its been a while. Thanks! I personally don't think my water marble turned out that great. I'll have to give it another try soon.
