Twinsie Tuesday: I keep meaning to...

Tuesday, October 14, 2014

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is I keep meaning to... I have a lot of designs that I say I will try out but never get to for some reason. I guess I just procrastinate. For the theme, I decided to finally tackle a water marble manicure. I always dreaded this particular nail art just because of the mess I will have to clean up afterwards. Let's see how my first water marble turned out then.

Fall Inspired Skittle with Water Marble Accent Nail Art

For the water marble accent nail, I first applied Milani White On The Spot as a white base. I used Sally Hansen Evening Fog, China Glaze Dress Me Up, China Glaze Mahogany Magic, and OPI William Tell Me About OPI. For the rest of the nails, I used the colors for the water marble going from lightest to darkest. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

I did cheat a little for this theme since I only did the water marble as a accent nail here. I was planning to do all the nails with the water marble design but I was really busy with studying for a test and completing a project for a class. To be honest though, the water marble accent nail was kind of a fail. What do you think?

  3. Love the colors you picked... and your water marble turned out great! Can't blame you for only wanting to do an accent though, it is a lot to clean up after!

    1. Thanks! I was planning to do the water marble design on all the nails but I didn't have time so I opted for a accent nail instead. I chose right since that one nail did need a bit of clean up.

  11. I like it! It's nice an understated because you only did an accent nail, not too busy! I can't get watermarbles to work and am always so jealous when I see nice ones like this.

  19. Hey Lisa sorry I’ve been so behind on commenting! I’ve been reading your blog on my phone but it is very cumbersome to comment using my phone and I haven’t had time to post on my computer!

I really like the neutral colors you used here! I like how they all come together in the water marble. I don’t think this is a fail! It may not look like a traditional water marble with petal shapes but I still think it is pretty. It reminds me of ribbons!
