Here's my last manicure for this month's book theme for The Nail Challenge Collaborative. I got inspiration for these nails after googling for book inspired nails and I saw this post here. The nail artist who created them is janet_m1 and her instagram post of it is here. I haven't read the book personally but the cover had a simple but interesting design.

I used OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls on all the nails. I applied Candeo Colors Sprouse on all the nails except the ring. For the ring, I used a black striper from Born Pretty Store to recreate the book cover design. Use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

Mine didn't turn out as great as I hoped it would be. I'm still not really good at using a striper polish but I think these turned out pretty good. What do you think?

Twinsie Tuesday: Mani Order From Your Significant Other/BFF/Family Member

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is a mani order from another person. I asked my sister what manicure she wanted me to create and she said an ikat design. Its one nail art design I haven't done yet and she's always heard me talk about not doing one. I got help to create these nails by this post, Nail Art Tutorial - Ikat Nails from Nails by Kayla Shevonne.

1984 Book Inspired Nail Art

Here's my third manicure for the inspired by a book theme for The Nail Challenge Collaborative. I've been busy this month so I got inspiration for these nails from Chalkboard Nails. She did them for 31DC2013 Day 24: Inspired by a Book (1984). I haven't read the book personally but the cover was interesting that I wanted to try recreating her nails for it.

I used OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls on all the nails. For the eyes, I used Barielle Swizzle Stix with a dotting tool. Then I dotted in the center with American Apparel Hassid. Taking the white, I used it to highlight the eyes and make it more realistic. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

Please excuse the out of focus shots here since it was raining hard the day I took these pictures. I thought these turned out okay. The eyes didn't come out as round as I wanted them to be. In my version, I placed the eyes more randomly on the nails. What do you think?

Nails: The Story of the Modern Manicure Book Cover Inspired Nail Art

Here's my second manicure for this month's inspired by a book theme for The Nail Challenge Collaborative. I got inspiration for these nails by the cover of the book, Nails: The Story of the Modern Manicure. I recreated the nails on the cover with a accent nail added to it.

I used American Apparel Downtown LA on all the nails except the ring. I used striping tape to tape off the tips of my nails and painted in the sections with Salon Perfect Sugar Cube. For the ring, I used Misa Green with Envy and used the red polish to paint in the taped sections on the nail tip. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

I didn't have the same nail shape as the book cover but I made it work with my nails. I really like how the accent nail turned out too. What do you think?

Twinsie Tuesday: Your Favorite Sports Team

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is your favorite sports team. To be honest, I was planning to skip this theme since I don't have a favorite sports team. I rarely if ever watch any sports. I decided to go ahead and do it though. Even though I don't have a favorite sports team, I decide to create a design for the Vancouver Canucks. My mom and sister love watching hockey so I thought I would try my hand on doing a nail art design inspired by them, particularly by their team colors.

I used Salon Perfect Sugar Cube on all the nails. Taking striping tape, I taped off sections of the nails to create this stripe pattern the Vancouver Canucks have on their jerseys a lot. Taking the two polishes, China Glaze Starboard and Essie Mesmerize, I painted in the taped sections. While it was still wet, I peeled the tape off. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

I've been stressed so I've been picking at my nails a lot more recently so excuse any redness or bumps you may see here. That's why I haven't been posting much manicures because I've been waiting for them to heal. Surprisingly, I love these a lot. There not full on hockey team nails but the combination of colors in this stripe pattern is nice. What do you think?

Here's my review on the Rojukiss Natural Celtic Mist (Lime Tree)! This was my first facial mist that I've tried when I started to really get into skincare. Let's hear what I thought of it.

Packaging
The Rojukiss Natural Celtic Mist (Lime Tree) comes packaged in a outer cardboard box with a simple green and white color scheme. The product itself is in a plastic spray bottle with a cap. It has a simple label on the front and back. The spray applicator on this bottle is okay. When you spray the product, the mist that comes out isn't a super fine mist that evenly coats the face. Its more of a direct spray and the mist sprays on only the concentrated area where you aimed at.

Texture and Scent
The texture is just like water but with a scent and a slight tacky feeling on the face when its first sprayed on. After it dries, it feels a bit sticky on the face but not too noticeable to be uncomfortable. The scent on this is a light lime scent which is fitting considering the mist is called Lime Tree. The scent almost reminds me of Sprite.

How to Use
Gently mist from 25cm away with eyes closed right after cleansing to give your skin more moisture. I spray it two to three times to cover the face evenly. I usually spray this mist when my skin is feeling dry or tight during the day.

My Review
I like the Rojukiss Natural Celtic Mist (Lime Tree) but its not something too exciting or needed in my skincare routine. I've never tried a facial mist  before so I decided to give this a try since it was affordable when I was shopping on Wishtrend. I like it but I don't notice that much of a noticeable difference on my skin from using it. Its perfect to throw in your bag to travel with so that you can use it whenever you want to refresh or rehydrate the face though.

Final Thoughts
Overall, I probably won't repurchase the Rojukiss Natural Celtic Mist (Lime Tree). Its not a bad product but its just not something that I think is essential for me in my skincare routine. I'm happy to have tried it though. If you do travel a lot or live in a humid area, the Rojukiss Natural Celtic Mist (Lime Tree) might be something for you to check out. Its a nice and light refreshing facial mist that helps to cool down heated skin with a light and refreshing lime scent.

I know a lot of people weren't fans of this box since they thought a lot of the products were more creepy cute instead. I have to agree with them about that. The Shara Shara sunscreen for example looked kind of creepy and is so bulky in packaging. I don't know if I'll ever get one of these My Cute Wishlist boxes again in the future. I think the first My Cute Wishlist Box was still the best one they released so far. For this box, I really liked all the products in here. There was a great mix of face, eye, and lip products to create a full faced makeup look that's perfect for everyday wear. I like that the colors in here aren't too bold but more everyday and wearable. If your looking for a good makeup box, this would be one of the boxes I recommend you to check out. Final Thoughts
Overall, the Memebox OMG 3 Box was just an okay box for me. Nothing was really all that shocking other than the Migabee Bee Venom & Honey Cream. This was my first OMG Box and it will probably be the last one I get. I just wasn't impressed by most of the products. I've come to realize that I'm not really into trying out weird ingredients in my beauty products too. I guess I'm just not that adventurous and prefer using products with ingredients I already know of. One thing to note with this box was that it smelled really bad when I first opened it up. I think the soap was the cause of it since the scent on it is kind of gross when I smelled it. Not sure if I'm even going to use it now. What do you think of the Memebox OMG 3 Box? Twinsie Tuesday: Your Least Favorite Polish

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is my least favorite polish. To be honest, there aren't much colors I don't like. I tend to like the majority of polishes out there. I did pick one that I thought wasn't the most flattering on me. It's also one of the first polishes I swatched when I started blogging.

Adding a bow stud to the nails always makes my manicure more cute. To be honest, I did like this polish when I first started blogging and my collection wasn't as big as it is now. But the more I wore and saw this polish, the more it started to not look as flattering on. Its a really yellow toned gold with a odd finish which I don't think looks all that great on me.
