Twinsie Tuesday: Pond Mani

Tuesday, January 6, 2015

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is a pond mani. I didn't really have an idea on what to do with this theme so I went and created lily pads against a blue base with some floral stamping. Its not the most creative but I wanted to try my hand on creating a manicure that somewhat resembled a pond. I'm still unsure if this is what the theme was about though.

Pond Manicure with Lily Pads and Floral Stamping Nail Art

I used Essie Borrowed & Blue on all the nails. For the lily pads, I used China Glaze Starboard with a dotting tool to help create the shape. Then I stamped with American Apparel Downtown LA using a flower image from BM-313. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

I thought these turned out alright. The lily pads kind of look like big green blobs here and the flowers I stamped on top were a bit too big. What do you think?
