Twinsie Tuesday: Monochromatic

Tuesday, February 3, 2015

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is monochromatic. I had no idea what that was so I went to Google for some help. Monochromatic just means different shades of one color. I went with a pinky red shade since its almost Valentine's Day and it was the only color in my collection that worked the best for the monochromatic theme.

Monochromatic Pinky Red Stripe Gradient with Bow Stud Accent Nail Art

I used Nicole by OPI Find Your Passion on all the nails. I created some rough stripes by painting American Apparel Poppy on top, making sure to leave some of the previous color showing. Repeated this process with Duri Sweetheart. I topped it off with a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust. For the ring nail, I applied a bow stud from Born Pretty Store. Use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

Anything with China Glaze Fairy Dust on top makes the manicure so much better. I quite like how these turned out and I think they would be perfect to wear for Valentine's Day if your not into hearts on that day. What do you think?

  4. This is going to be random, but your round nails make me happy. They just look so perfect and almost make me want to go round! Your gradient looks amazing!

    1. Thank you Savannah! I used to have square nails but they didn't look all that flattering on my shorter nails so I switched it to rounded ones and I've never looked back. I think they flatter my nails more so I'm happy to hear you like them so much. I'm also so envious of your longer nails a lot too.
