Twinsie Tuesday: Watercolor Nails

Tuesday, April 14, 2015

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is watercolor nails. I haven't done much of this particular design so I was excited to try it out. It was a great time to use my acrylic paints which I have used in quite some time. Let's see how they turned out.

I used OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls on all the nails. I watered down a variety of acrylic paints to create the watercolor effect. After dabbing the water down acrylic paint on the nails, I waited a few seconds before dabbing my nails with a q-tip to absorb any excess water. Repeated this process until I was happy with the results. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

It was raining the day I took these so excuse the bad lighting and quality. I thought these look pretty cool. What do you think?

  1. This reminds me of an abstract field of flowers with the random pops of color against green. I love it!

  3. So pretty! Given how glossy it is, it reminds me of a paperweight. (That's a compliment-- I love cool glass paperweights.)
