For today's manicure, I wanted to create a design that I've never tried or done on the blog before. This is the butterfly wings nail art. I've seen a lot of them and I've always found them to be so pretty. So here is my attempt at one that I'm sharing.
I used Nicole by OPI Hit The Lights on all the nails except the ring. For the gradient, I sponged on the yellow and Jessica Fanciful Flight using a makeup sponge. I stamped with American Apparel Hassid with BM-424. For the ring nail, I used Smitten Polish Ermahgerd Candy Corms and applied a silver butterfly stud from Lady Queen on top. Use coupon code EGLC15 for 15% off your order. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
The silver butterfly stud cost $4.40 for one piece which is a bit expensive in my opinion. This wasn't one of the decorations I chose to review myself but the person I was in contact with suggested it based on my fondness for bow studs. I'm so happy to have it too since I really like it a lot. Its the perfect size for my nails and its super cute. I only wish that it wasn't so expensive though.
Didn't these turn out awesome? I'm super happy with how the stamping and gradient look together here. What do you think?

Today's Twinsie Tuesday's theme is to create a manicure inspired by the season. Since Halloween is coming up this weekend, I decided to create a very simple Halloween stamping manicure.
First, I used Avon Starlight on all the nails. Then I stamped with Born Pretty Stamping Polish in Black with BM-H08. You can use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order from Born Pretty Store. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
I thought the manicure looked okay. For some strange reason, my camera had a hard time focusing on my nails here. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! I've been really into creating more simple manicures and nothing too detailed recently. I find them so much easier to create and the payoff always turns out pretty great. So for today's manicure, I went and created a simple glitter gradient on the nail tips.
I used Barielle A Bouquet For Ava on all the nails. I applied Julep Mila, making sure to concentrate most of the glitters on the tips for a gradient effect. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
Its been too long since I've done a glitter gradient and I don't know why since I love them so much. What do you think?

I really like the color purple but for some reason I don't seem to own a lot purple polishes in my collection. So for today's manicure, I wanted to share a purple manicure. I do plan on purchasing more purple polishes to add to my collection since its such a lovely color.
I used Barielle Welcome Ohm on all the nails. I applied Naild'It Violet B Wild on the nails except the ring. For the ring nail, I used Sally Hansen Pink-Grape Fruit and applied a gold bow stud from Lady Queen. Use coupon code EGLC15 for 15% off. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
Like the silver version, this gold bow stud is gorgeous and cost $1.94 for one piece. I did notice that its a bit different from the picture of it on the Lady Queen website though. The one pictured on the website had some colored rhinestones on it but this one doesn't. The rhinestones on it instead has a multi-colored shine to it depending on how the light hits it. Other than it not being 100% exact like the picture, I still really like it and its one of my favorite bow studs that I own now.
I think I went a little heavy with the glitter in my manicure since its so dense that you can barely see the base color anymore. I should have stopped at one coat but instead I decided to apply two coats instead. What do you think?

Sorry for getting this post up so late. I had it scheduled to post but at the wrong time by accident. Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is ruffian. I haven't done a ruffian manicure in a long time so I was excited to do one. I tried my hardest on making them perfect so let's see how it turned out.
I used Color Club Berry And Bright topped with Kleancolor Chunky Holo Purple on top of all the nails. For the ruffian, I painted the bottom with China Glaze What A Pansy making sure to leave some of the red showing. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
I thought these turned out okay. You can barely see the Kleancolor Chunky Holo Purple on top of Color Club Berry And Bright which was a bummer. I don't think I should have layered it on top. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! I haven't done a manicure using the fan brush for a while so I thought I would do one today. I used to love creating this haze design on the nails with it.
I used Essie Bikini So Teeny on all the nails. I applied Barielle A Bouquet For Ava and Orly Rage using a fan brush. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
I'm so in love with these nails. I just love how it all came together. I'm wanting to do another one again now. What do you think?

Hi everyone! So, I was one of the lucky few who was chosen to receive the Laneige Voxbox from Influenster. In this box, you will be receiving one of the following products from Laneige which will either be the cleanser, serum, moisturizer, or mask.
The Laneige Advanced Water Science Skincare product I received was the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask. Its a revolutionary overnight mask that hydrates parched skin while its Aromatic Sleepscent technology relaxes you. I've actually already tried this particular mask in a deluxe sample in the past so it's not a new product to me. I actually did really like it so I'm happy to have gotten a full size of it. I do wish I received one of the other three skincare products in this line since I was looking forward to trying a new product instead of one I've already used before.
I'm not going to open it right now since I'm currently using some other skincare products but I can say that I do like this mask. Its basically a thick gel mask that you apply on as the last step in your skincare routine. It's meant to be worn overnight so it kind of acts like a protective barrier on your face to keep it moisturized when your sleeping. When you wake up and rinse your face, your skin should be feeling very hydrated.
You can purchase the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask for $30 over at Sephora in Canada.

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme to create a manicure inspired by my favorite fictional character. I have a lot of favorite fictional characters that I like but I decided to go with Bubbles from The Powerpuff Girls. I used to love watching this show growing up and Bubbles was my favorite.
I used a lot of polishes for this manicure so I'm just going to list out all the colors I used which includes Salon Perfect Sugar Cube, American Apparel American Denim, American Apparel Hassid, American Apparel Dance, Nicole by OPI Hit The Lights, OPI Pink Friday, Dearberry in 21, and lastly Born Pretty Store Sweet Color Nail Art Liner in Black. For the ring nail, I stamped with stamping plate BP-11 from Born Pretty Store. Use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order. Other nail art tools I used was striping tape and a dotting tool. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
I'm not super happy with how these nails turned out. There was smearing and bubbling happening so that wasn't great but at least you can kind of tell what I was going for in the design. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! I created another nail foil manicure today using two different colored foils instead of one. I was pretty happy with the overall result of it too. Then I paired the manicure with a new silver bow stud I received from Lady Queen which I'm so happy to have in my collection of bow studs I already own. Its probably one of my new favorites right now.
I used Sally Hansen Pacific Blue on all the nails. I used nail foils from Ciaté in Flash and Fizz and dabbed it on the blue polish before it fully dried on all the nails except the ring. For the ring nail, I used OPI Rainbow Connection and on top applied a coat of Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat. Before the top coat fully dried, I applied a silver bow stud from Lady Queen on top. Use coupon code EGLC15 for 15% off your order.
I'm excited for this new silver bow stud in my collection. The bow stud is all silver and its decorated with rhinestones. It costs $1.94 for one piece. Its a pretty great price and I have to say, its one of the more prettier bow studs that I own. I did wish it came in a set of two instead of one though.
I did struggle a bit with the nail foil this time with getting it to transfer onto my nails. I did have to start over on a few of my nails but I really liked the results I got in the end. You can see a bit of dents on the nails but I don't mind it too much. What do you think?

Here's my product empties for the month of September. I finished a few things but they were mostly sample sized or products that was already really low. Let's see what they were.
1. O& Soap Berry Bubble Cleanser
I've already finished one bottle of this product and I like it as my morning cleanser. It comes out as a foam so I don't have to work to create a lather on my face. Smells nice and did its job in the morning on making my face feel clean.
2. Not Soap, Radio Bath or Shower Gel
This was an okay product for me. I don't really use shower gels and the smell wasn't all that great. It had a nice lather and the blue color to the gel was fun. I received it in one of my Birchboxes but it wouldn't be something I would purchase myself.
3. Vitamin Cleansing Dessert Magic Cream Soap in Coconut & Cacao Extract
This cleanser smelled really good but it was strange applying it to my face since it smelled like dessert. It lathered really well but my skin didn't feel all that clean when I used it. I didn't really like that I had to scoop the product out too. This is just an okay cleanser for me and probably not one I would purchase again.
4. N.4 High Performance Hair Care L'eau de Mare Hydrating Shampoo
This was an okay shampoo for me. It lathered really well in my hair but I just didn't like the scent on it or how it made my hair feel. I rinsed my hair really good but I always felt like there was product still left on my hair after blow drying. The scent is pretty strong and lingers on the hair too but the scent wasn't one I really liked.
5. Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream
I did not like this cream at all. The smell was okay but the appearance of this cream was what made me dislike it. It has very tiny shimmers in it and once I applied the cream onto my face, you can see it. It wasn't all that hydrating on my skin too.
That's all for my product empties for September. Let me know what you've finished during the month or if you've tried any of the products I mentioned.

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is to recreate a fellow Twinsie's manicure that I loved. There is a lot of designs that I love but I decided to recreate a manicure by Bridget from A Painted Nail. I choose the manicure she created for the theme, Polish Received In A Swap. I didn't copy it exactly but I did my best at recreating it on my nails.
I used Essie Splash Of Grenadine on all the nails. I created the chevron strips by using tape and a pair of chevron craft scissors. I applied two of the chevron strips on the ring and middle nail. I painted Sally Hansen Celeb City on top of it and before the polish dried, I quickly peeled off the tape. For the rest of the nails, I dotted on two dots with a dotting tool using the same silver polish. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
Its been ages since I've done a chevron manicure so these don't look all that great. Hopefully with more practice, my next one will turn out better. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! I was always interested in trying out making my own stamping decals but I never attempted one until today. I created a stamping decal for my accent nail and the result turned out pretty good for a beginner.
I used OPI Austin-tatious Turquoise on all the nails except the ring nail. For the ring nail, I used Salon Perfect Sugar Cube. I stamped with Born Pretty Stamping Polish in Black with stamping plate BP-07 from Born Pretty Store. Use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order. While the stamping image was still on the stamper, I colored the flowers in with American Apparel Downtown LA and American Apparel Rose Bowl. After it dried, I stamped the homemade decal onto my ring nail. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
For my first try at it, I think it looks great. I'm totally going to try creating more stamping decals in the future. What do you think?

Here's my review on the Klairs Creamy & Natural Fit Concealer. Like the Klairs Blemish Cream I reviewed yesterday, I also got sent this product from Wishtrend to review and try out. I was pretty excited about it since this concealer is a new product from Klairs so let's see what I thought of it.

How to Get a $5 Voucher
If you use my promo code: 241709612 as the invitation code when you sign up for an account on Wishtrend, you can get a $5 voucher added to your account that can be used towards your purchases. I get a $5 voucher in return too if you use my promo code.
Packaging
The Klairs Creamy & Natural Fit Concealer comes packaged in a sleek black tube with mostly plain white text on it. The tube itself was shrink wrapped so you can assured that the product hasn't been opened when you receive it. The all black color to the concealer makes the packaging very sleek and simple. The applicator on the Klairs Creamy & Natural Fit Concealer is a doe foot applicator. It reminds me of the applicators on lip glosses. I like it since it makes it easy to dot around the face on areas that need concealer quickly and precisely.
Texture and Scent
The texture on the Klairs Creamy & Natural Fit Concealer is light and creamy. It feels pretty hydrating on the skin and it covers areas on my face like red spots or blemishes pretty well. It has a pretty natural finish and the color itself blends pretty well with my skin. As you can see from the two pictures below, once I blended the concealer in, it matches my skin color pretty well. For the scent, it has a light, almost floral perfume scent to it like the Klairs Blemish Cream. It's not too overpowering to me so I don't mind the scent on it.
How to Use
Apply an adequate amount of concealer to the targeted areas in need of coverage. Gently tap and blend the concealer around the edges with your fingers or a brush.
My Review
The Klairs Creamy & Natural Fit Concealer is a pretty new product from Klairs so I was very excited to try it out after really liking the BB cream from their line. I can say that I really enjoyed this concealer a lot. I don't wear makeup a whole lot so this concealer is very nice to use when I'm in a rush but want a little bit of coverage to even out my skin a bit. The doe foot applicator helps me spot on the concealer where I want and then use my fingers to blend it in for a quick and easy application. The coverage on the Klairs Creamy & Natural Fit Concealer is pretty good and it looks very natural on my skin which is what I look for in my face makeup.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I do recommend the Klairs Creamy & Natural Fit Concealer to anyone who's looking for a new concealer that has great coverage while still looking natural. Its a very affordable concealer priced at $14 which is around the same price as concealers from the drugstore for me. The only downside is that it only comes in one shade right now. The color on it is on the lighter side so it caters more to people with fair to light skin and more of an Asian skin tone. I'm happy that it worked for me since and it kind of acts as a brighter for me as well since it does brighten areas of my face I apply it on like under my eyes.

Here's my review on the Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream SPF 40 PA++. I've heard a lot of people and bloggers rave about this BB cream from Klairs so when I got a chance to review it, I was excited. I don't wear a lot of heavy makeup on a daily basis so I thought this would be perfect for me since its suppose to give a pretty natural finish on the skin.

Packaging
The Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream SPF 40 PA++ is packaged in a outer cardboard container. The packaging design is mainly black and white. Its simple in design but effective in letting you know what the product is while highlighting all the benefits this BB cream can provide. Inside, the Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream SPF 40 PA++ comes in a squeeze tube container with again in the same color black and white color scheme as its outer packaging. The squeeze tube packaging helps to control how much product you want to squeeze out so your not wasting any product.
Texture and Scent
The Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream SPF 40 PA++ has a nice texture to it. It feels pretty creamy when I apply it on and it doesn't feel very thick on my skin. For the color, its on a lighter side but once I blended it into my skin, it matched pretty well with me and it gave my complexion a brighter tone. As you can see in the two pictures below, once I blended the BB cream into my skin, it blended pretty seamlessly into my skin. It's a pretty hydrating texture so when I apply it on the face, it looks really natural and feels like I have nothing on. For the scent, it has a light, almost floral perfume smell to me.
How to Use
Apply after basic skincare routine. Blend evenly with fingertips and gently pat into skin. Depending on your preference, you can apply the Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream SPF 40 PA++ with your fingers, a makeup brush, or a sponge. I've tried all three methods of application and it works well with each one.
My Review
With all the positive reviews I've seen on the Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream SPF 40 PA++, I knew I was probably going to like this BB cream a lot and I really do. Its a great everyday BB cream that I see myself using on a pretty regular basis. It offers me enough coverage while still making my skin look like and feel like my skin.. The SPF 40 PA++ in it is great too since it eliminates the extra step of having to apply sunscreen at the end of my makeup routine. Unlike other foundations or BB creams I've tried in the past, the Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream SPF 40 PA++ feels pretty hydrating on my face and it doesn't cake up on me like a lot of foundations or BB creams do. The color matched pretty well with my skin, even giving my skin tone a bit of a brighter appearance.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I recommend the Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream SPF 40 PA++ to anyone who's looking for a BB cream that's very natural on the face while still being able to provide pretty good coverage like covering redness and spots. Since the BB cream was pretty hydrating, I definitely recommend it to anyone who has a dry skin type like me but I feel like it can work with a lot of other skin types too. The only downside to this BB cream is that it only comes in one shade. It's not very universal to everyone but instead caters to people with a pretty fair to light complexion and an Asian skin tone. I'm glad that it matched well with my skin but since it only comes in one color, it really limits who can use it.
