Festive Holiday Christmas Characters

Thursday, December 17, 2015

Nail Polish Canada is hosting a holiday contest right now so I wanted to submit an entry before it ended. I wanted to create something more detailed and freehanded. I decided to create some festive characters you mostly identify with during the holiday season. If you like my holiday nail art design, please make sure to vote for me HERE.

Starting with the pinky, I have an elf, a reindeer, a Santa Claus, a snowman, and lastly a Christmas tree which I got inspiration from after seeing this Christmas Tree Skittle from Lacquer or Leaver Her!. I used a lot of polishes for this nail art design so I'm just going to list all the polishes I used: Salon Perfect Sugar Cube, Orly Solid Gold, Misa Green with Envy, China Glaze Starboard, Jessica Tangerine Dreamz, Barielle Swizzle Stix, Barielle Cashmere Or Loose Me, American Apparel Raccoon, American Apparel Downtown LA, Color Club Berry And Bright, Color Club Ho-Ho-Holly and Born Pretty Store Sweet Color Black Nail Art Liner. Use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order from Born Pretty Store. For tools, I used a dotting tool, a toothpick, and striping tape. Lastly, I finished the manicure off with a coat of Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

I'm very proud of this nail art. I haven't been doing a lot of freehanded nail art designs since it takes a really long time to do them and simple or stamping manicures take less time for me. However, its fun to do them every once in a while to help improve my skills on it. Don't forgot to vote for my design if its your favorite one HERE. What do you think?

    1. Thanks! I'm not the best at freehanded designs but as long as I take my time, they always seem to turn out pretty good.

  6. This is gorgeous! They all look perfect and so professional, if I tried to do something different on every nail it would look like I put it together randomly/messy but this is so fluid and works so well together!
