December 2015 Product Empties

Thursday, January 7, 2016

Here's my December 2015 product empties! I didn't really finish products per say for this month but I did throw away a few items that I don't really use or like all that much as well as some products that are expired. So let's see what I used up and threw away.

December 2015 Product Empties

1. Kskin Bulgarian Rose Moisture & Nutrition Facial Cream
This cream had a light rose scent and was very moisturizing on my face. I had to make sure not too use to make or else my skin would look really oily. It had a lot of product in the tub so it lasted me quite a long time. Overall, I was pretty happy with the facial cream.

2. RE:CIPE Vita Capsule Essence
This was my night time essence and it was a nice product. I do have to shake it up for the product to mix together before using but it helped kept my skin hydrated. Since its an oil based essence, you do have to be careful with how much you use since it can make your skin look oily.

3. Pure Smile Choosy Lip Scrub in Chamomile Milk
I've only used this lip scrub a handful of times and I don't really like it at all. It has a thick balm like texture with very little scrubbing action to it. Whenever I use it, my lips do feel moisturized but I don't feel like its scrubbed any dead skin off my lips. The smell on it isn't great too so I'm just going to throw it away since I don't see myself reaching for it often.

4. Grinif Multi Natural Shea Butter Balm
Like the lip scrub, I only used this balm a few times. I mainly used it for dry areas on my skin like my elbows. Its moisturizing but I didn't really feel like its was super amazing. I still have a lot of product left but its past its expiration date so I'm just going to throw it away.

5. Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark-Circle Roller
I've had this concealer for ages in my makeup collection. It has a nice thin consistency and it works well for areas like the under eye. Its starting to kind of leak where the roller ball applicator is and plus I've had it for so long already that I think its time to throw it away.

6. Onyx Professional 100% Pure Acetone Remover
I emptied another bottle of my nail polish remover which is 100% acetone. I've been using this particular brand for a while now and I like it because it removes my nail polish really fast. Acetone does dry out my skin and nails but I make to moisturize really well afterwards.

7. Glisten & Glow HK Girl Fast Drying & Super Shiny Clear Top Coat
This is one of my favorite fast drying top coats that I've used so far. It dried fast and gives my nails a nice glossy finish. I particularly love using it after creating a nail art design since I don't fear it smudging my design underneath.

8. Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat
If your looking for a nice affordable drugstore top coat, I would recommend this one. It dried pretty fast and it gives a nice glossy finish on the nails. I do notice that around halfway down the bottle, it does start leaving bubbles when I use it.

I'm happy to get rid of the items that are expired or I've owned for a long time. It helps me to make space for future new products. What have you finished in the month of December?

  4. I don't know all f the products you showed us and I've never used a Lip Scrub, but if I need one than I mix a little bit of sugar together with olive oil or coconut oil and that usually works.

    1. Thanks for the tip. I've always heard that making your own lip scrub is easy and pretty effective too.
