Happy Monday Blues! So I've been wanting to get back into creating more freehanded designs using my dotting tool. Dotting used to be one of my favorite ways to create nail art designs so I'm going to try to come up with patterns/looks using that. Here's the first one I'm showing today.
I used OPI Stranger Tides on the ring and middle nail. After the base polish dried, I applied striping tape on the middle section of the nail and started dotting on a combination of Nubar Absolute, Barielle A Bouquet For Ava, and Nicole by OPI You're S-teal The One with a dotting tool. Before that dried, I peeled the striping tape off. For the rest of the nails, I applied Nubar Absolute and added two dots using Barielle Swizzle Stix and Nicole by OPI You're S-teal The One. Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
I thought these nails turned out okay. The three blues I choose to use in the design looked very similar so they didn't really stand out much when I dotted them on the nails within the striping tape. What do you think?

I really like how the dots are overlapping a bit. I personally like how the colors are similar so the dots are more subtle :)
