Happy Monday Blues! So, I'm a bit behind on creating and writing up my posts for the blog recently. I had some time on the weekend to get this week's posts finished but I want to get some more finished ahead of time. Anyways, let see the nail art I'm sharing today.
I used American Apparel American Denim on all the nails. I dotted with OPI Simply Smash-ing! and China Glaze Exotic Encounters with a dotting tool to create the sideways triangle design. Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
I thought these turned out alright. I was disappointed in myself in not getting the design looking the same on all the nails. OPI Simply Smash-ing! was so hard to clean up around my nails too. What do you think?

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is studs or embellishments. I have a bunch of nail studs in my collection that I haven't used or even opened so it was the perfect opportunity for me to use them for this week's theme. I guess the main reason I don't use them a whole lot is because they usually come off of my nails pretty quickly unless I really secure them on with nail glue.
I used Nicole by OPI A Like-Haley Story... on all the nails except the ring. I applied one round silver textured nail studs from Born Pretty Store on each nail. You can use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order. For the ring nail, I used Essie Splash Of Grenadine and topped it with Essie Set In Stones. Finished with KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
I don't use my nail studs nearly enough which is a shame since I have a lot of them. I thought these looked pretty good even though I wished I placed the nail studs a little higher up on my nails. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! The weather has been really rainy and cloudy this past week so I've been trying to not go out too much. Since I've had a lot more time at home, I've been trying to tidy up my room a bit. Hopefully, the weather this week will be a bit better for me to take some nail pictures so I can have something to post up next week.
First, I used Nabi Angel Blue on all the nails. Taking a fan brush, I applied OPI From A to Z-urich and Orly Sweet Peacock. Finished with KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
There was a bit of smudging on the red when I top coated the nails but I don't think it's too noticeable. I really like how these turned out. What do you think?

Hi everyone! So today, I'm just sharing a simple stamping manicure that has me stamping a lighter color on top of a darker base polish. I was originally going for something else when I first started the manicure but it didn't work out so I switched up my idea to create this manicure.
I used OPI Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine! on all the nails. I stamped with M Polish Snowberry with stamping plate BP-12 from Born Pretty Store. Use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order. Finished with KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
I like that the white stamping polish I used really showed up against the dark base polish. Most of the time, it looks faded but this one just pops against the dark color. What do think?

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is coffee inspired. For the theme, I decided I wanted to try a stamping image that reminded me of the coffee art you can get on top of specialized coffee drinks. The image I choose is a simple water marble looking design using some coffee colors.
I used American Apparel Mouse on all the nails. I stamped using American Apparel Raccoon with stamping plate BP-41 from Born Pretty Store. Use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order. Finished with KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
I realized after creating this manicure that I don't own a lot of browns in my collection. I also had a hard time stamping since the polish I used had a pretty watery consistency and wasn't the most opaque looking dark brown. It kind of works here though since the designs on top of coffees that I've seen isn't always 100% perfect. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! My mother had a minor surgery last week so I've been trying to help around the house since she's not able to do any really heavy work for at least three months. So I wasn't able to do much last week but at least I had some posts written up to keep up with my blog schedule. Today, I'm sharing a dry brush manicure I created using some darker colors.
I used Sally Hansen Pacific Blue on all the nails except the ring. Making sure to wipe off the brush good, I applied Essie Sew Psyched and Essie Smokin' Hot horizontally and vertically on the nails using the dry brush technique. For the ring nail, I used China Glaze Liquid Crystal and topped it off with a bow stud from Born Pretty Store. You can use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order. Finished with KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
These turned out a bit darker than I expected but I kind of like it. Its been a while since I've used a bow stud so I added it here as my accent nail. What do you think?

Here's my first product empties for January of 2016! I didn't finish a lot of products this month compared to past months but I did toss a few items that expired and I used up the last bit of things that had very little product in it already.
1. Skin&Lab Dr. Color Effect Yellow Essence Spray
This was a dual layered essence spray that I've been using during the winter months. I really liked it and the spray bottle format made it easy to apply on the skin. I got this product when it was on sale and it would be something I would repurchase again. I have a full review on it HERE.
2. ettang Modeling Take-Out Cup Pack
This was such a interesting mask product to use. It's a powder your suppose to mix with water to create the mask that you apply onto the face. From trying it out, its definitely not something I would try again since it was very messy. When the mask dried, your able to peel it off but the consistency just felt very strange to me.
3. Purederm Strawberry Skin Softening Yogurt Mask
I didn't empty the bottle of this mask but it does expire in January so I thought it was best to toss it out and I only had a little bit left inside. I did like this mask a lot. It had a liquid cream like consistency to it with some small pink beads in it. The mask had a sweet strawberry scent to it which I liked and it always left my skin feeling very refreshed and soft after using it.
4. Purederm Oatmeal Anti-Stress Heat Therapy Mask
Unlike the strawberry yogurt mask, I did not like this one that much. It had the same liquid cream consistency to it but whenever I applied this mask on my face, it left my skin feeling irritated and red afterwards. The mask does heat up and gives my skin a tingling sensation that was a little uncomfortable. Once I washed the mask off though, my skin hurt so I rarely used it.
That's all for my product empties for January. Not a whole lot but I'm still happy that I was still able to empty a few things. What products did you finish in January?

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is romantic so I went with a pink manicure for Valentine's Day that's coming up soon. When I think romantic, I usually think of pink and some kind of floral design like roses. With that in mind, here's the romantic themed manicure I created.
I used American Apparel Coney Island on all the nails except the ring nail. Then I stamped with Dearberry 21 with stamping plate BM-H16 from Bundle Monster. For the glittery accent nail on my ring, I used OPI Teenage Dream. Finished with KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
I just love how pretty these nails look overall. The roses stamped beautifully and the pink glittery accent nail goes well with the manicure too. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! So, I've been trying to create more dotting manicures recently since I miss it and it used to be one of my favorite ways to create manicures. This one is an attempt to create some wavy lines using just dots.
First, I used Essie Rock The Boat on all the nails. I created the dotted wavy design on the nails using Orly Rage and Sinful Colors Dancing Nails along with a dotting tool. Lastly, I finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
This was a little bit of a fail for me since this wasn't exactly how I pictured the design to turn out. I might try it again though by creating smaller dots next time. I did like how the design on the middle nail turned out the most. What do you think?

Hi everyone! For today's post, I'm back again to show and review another watch from JORD. For this year's Valentine's Day gift to your loved ones, instead of going for the usual pink/red, go with something green instead. JORD was kind enough to let me choose one of their green watches they offer to review for this year's Valentine's Day.
The watch style I picked was the 94A Green Sandalwood & Maple this time because of the square face of it. I usually go for round face watches but I wanted to try out a square faced one this time. Its listed under men's watches and I didn't realize this until I received the watch and when I was writing up the post for it. I love the look of the watch but since it's more of a men's style watch than a women's, the watch itself was a bit big on my wrist. I'm probably going to gift this to my brother or one of my male cousins.
The 94A series has a very masculine feel in the design with the big square face of the watch. I like that there's color to it with the green almost grid like pattern on the face of the watch. The closure on it has a lot of metal to it which adds to the masculine vibe. Like the previous wood watch I reviewed, the watch is pretty light on the wrist. The watch comes packaged in its own wooden box with extra wrist extensions in cause the watch is too tight on your wrist.
If your still looking for the perfect Valentine's Day gift to give to a special guy in your life, check out the watch style, 94A Green Sandalwood & Maple from JORD or one of their many other watch styles they offer on their website. My three reason for why these JORD wood watches would be a good gift giving idea is: anyone can wear a watch for everyday or even for special occasions, wood watches are unique and not something many people would own one of, and there's a variety of styles to choose from that can match the style of the person your gifting the watch to.
You can purchase the 94A Green Sandalwood & Maple on the JORD website and they also offer free shipping in the USA. I've partnered with JORD to give away a limited quantity of e-gift cards worth $25 each for Valentine's Day! If you've had your eye on one of their lovely wood watches, be sure to enter to redeem your gift code, they'll be good through the end of March! Entering is easy; click the link HERE.
It will ask you for your e-mail and your favorite JORD watch (so many to choose from) and once you hit enter, your code will be e-mailed directly to you!
You can connect with JORD through their website, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest.

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is mix and match. I went with a green themed manicure with different designs on each nail. After creating this manicure, it makes me motivated to create more mix and match designs in the future now.
Starting with the pinky, I sponged on a gradient using Barielle Do Unto Others and Orly Ancient Jade. For the ring, I used Beyond The Nail Mint Microglitter. For the middle, I used OPI Stranger Tides. After that dried, I applied a mermaid scale nail vinyl and applied Orly Ancient Jade on top. While the polish was still wet, I peeled off the nail vinyl. For the pointer, I used Barielle Do Unto Others and created a polka dot design with OPI Stranger Tides with a dotting tool. For the thumb, I used Orly Ancient Jade. Finished with KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
I didn't press down on the nail vinyl very well so the design turned out a bit messy. I did really like how the polka dot design on the pointer nail turned out though. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! From the title of this post, today's manicure was inspired by the glitter I used as the accent nail here. I really liked the mix of blue, green, and pink glitters in this polish so I thought they would look great in this dotticure.
I used Essie Borrowed & Blue on all the nails except the ring. Then I dotted on the dots using a combination of Essie Mesmerize, Misa Green with Envy, and Spoiled by Wet n' Wild Plastic Flamingo with a dotting tool. For the ring nail, I used Ciaté Cream Soda and topped it off with Brijits Digits Céline Neon. Finished with KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
I thought these turned out pretty cute. The colors I used in this dotticure go well together like the glitter polish I used on the accent nail. What do you think?
