Hi everyone! So Kelsie from Kelsie's Nail Files is hosting giveaway and a nail art contest to celebrate her 4 year blog anniversary. It ends this month so I wanted to get a nail art design in since she's giving away some really great prizes. She has a Pinterest board filled with pictures that were suppose to look through and pick one to use for an inspiration for the manicure so the one I choose to try to recreate is this picture here.
I used Sally Hansen Pacific Blue on all the nails. For the sky design, I did various sponging on the nails using colors including Essie Borrowed & Blue, American Apparel American Denim, American Apparel Passport Blue, and Barielle Welcome Ohm. For the trees, I used Sweet Color Nail Art Liner in Black along with a toothpick. For the small white details, I used Sweet Color Nail Art Liner in White. You can use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your entire order from Born Pretty Store. Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
I thought these turned out pretty amazing. To be honest, I didn't think it would look too good but I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked it in the end. I think it resembled my inspiration pretty well especially since I don't do a lot of detailed free handed nail art often. What do you think?

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is birds. I didn't want to freehand any birds so I decided to look into my stamping plate collection to see if I had any with birds in it. In the end, I decided to use one of the newer stamping plates I recently purchased from Born Pretty Store to create today's manicure.
I used Sephora by OPI Ocean Love Potion and layered Spoiled by Wet n' Wild Pirate's Booty on top of all the nails. I stamped with Born Pretty Stamping Polish in Black with stamping plate BP-58 from Born Pretty Store on just the ring and middle nail. You can use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order. Finished with KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
I loved how these turned out. I don't use a lot of images like this one on my nails when I'm stamping but it looks great. It helped a lot to get them pretty straight on my nails using my clear jelly stamper too. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! I hope everyone had a good Easter weekend. So I'm kind of proud of myself since I've managed to keep up with my weekly blog postings and I have posts created and almost done for the next two weeks or so. This helps me out a lot since when I'm busy on certain days, I at least know I have posts scheduled ahead of time that's ready to go. For today's manicure, I have a simple blue and yellow stamped design using a stamping plate from Lady Queen.
I used Nicole by OPI You're S-teal The One on all the nails except the ring. I stamped with M Polish Sweetclover with stamping plate hehe 027 from Lady Queen. Use coupon code EGLC15 for 15% off your order. For the ring, I used OPI Glitzerland and topped it off with China Glaze De-Light. Finished with KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
Here's a closer look at stamping plate hehe 027. It has five different designs to use separately or to mix and match in one manicure. The design I chose on the top of the stamping plate to use stamped really well on my nails.
Overall, I'm happy with this manicure. The stamping turned out well and the gold accent nail works here too. In real life, the light yellow stamping design was much more noticeable compared to the pictures I took of it. What do you think?
*Lady Queen sent stamping plate hehe 027 for review purposes. My opinion is 100% honest. Post does contain affiliate links.*

Hi everyone! This is the last of the stamping polishes I received from Born Pretty Store to review for you today. For some reason, I tend to pair the stamping polishes I use with a color in the same color but in a different tone. So today's nail art isn't much different. I paired a fuchsia base polish with the pink stamping polish to create this cute manicure.
I used OPI Flashbulb Fuchsia on all the nails. I stamped with stamping polish Ya Qin An 24 with stamping plate BM-419 from Bundle Monster. You can use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order from Born Pretty Store. Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
Ya Qin An 24 was a nice opaque light pink stamping polish. This is the last of the stamping polishes I received for review but it definitely won't be my last ones from this brand. I was really happy with all four of the creme stamping polishes from them and want to try out some more now.
These turned out pretty cute. The stamping design I used had a doodle feel to it and it felt very girly to me too. I did smudge the design a bit when I applied the top coat but I don't think it's too noticeable. What do you think?

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is inspired by jewelry. When I was younger, I used to wear this small sheep shaped jade stone as a necklace. The longer I wore it, the more green it turned when it once was a whitish green at first. So for the nail art, I wanted to try creating some jade like nails.
I used Essie Absolutely Shore on all the nails. I used the saran wrap method to apply on American Apparel Office, Essie Mojito Madness, and China Glaze Starboard. Finished with KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
I thought these turned out pretty great. It does remind of a Chinese jade so much that I'm thinking of recreating the design in various colors now. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! If you haven't already noticed, I changed the look of my blog. I was feeling a little tried of the one I had originally so I went looking for a new one to replace it with. I'm pretty happy with it especially since it was a free one I downloaded from Designer Blogs. I do however plan on purchasing a better blogger template later in the future that's also mobile responsive since this one sadly isn't.
First, I used The Polish Bar Green Goddess on just the ring and middle nail. Next, I then stamped with M Polish Apricot Delight with stamping plate hehe 035 from Lady Queen. You can use coupon code EGLC15 for 15% off your order. For the rest of the nails, I used Avon Galaxy. Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
Here's a closer look at stamping plate hehe 035. This stamping plate has a mixture of words, feathers, and a cracked design. I like the images on it a lot, particularly, the two feather designs on it. I used two images from this stamping plate and they both stamped really well onto my nails.
The gold stamping turned out a bit lighter than I imagined on top of the green polish but I kind of like it. It makes the manicure much more softer to me. What do you think?

Hi everyone! The weather where I live hasn't been the best with a lot of rainy days but I do get the occasional sunshine here and there. I was inspired to use some brighter Spring colors for my manicure while I'm waiting for more sunshine to come already.
First, I used Wet n' Wild Megalast Candy-licious on all the nails except the ring. Next, I stamped with Ya Qin An 26 with stamping plate BP-09 from Born Pretty Store. Use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order. For the ring, I used Jessica Tangerine Dreamz and topped it off with Silly Bee's Chickadees Piña Granizado. Finished with KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
Ya Qin An 26 was a pretty great yellow stamping polish. It had a nice thick consistency and was pretty opaque when I was stamping with it. I don't have a good stamping yellow polish I'm using so I'm happy to add this one into my collection.
I just love the colors I used in this manicure since it feels really Spring like to me. I was very pleased to see that the yellow stamping polish showed up pretty well on top of the pink base polish. I'm also in love with how the glittery accent nail looks and it pairs well with the yellow stamping. What do you think?

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is my favorite color. If you've been following me for a while, you would know that my favorite color is blue. I also do the weekly Monday Blues posts on my blog because I love the color blue so much.
First, I used OPI Suzi Says Feng Shui on all the nails. I stamped with Ya Qin An 25 with stamping plate Lily Anna 04. You can use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order from Born Pretty Store. Finished with KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
I wanted to use the Ya Qin An 25 stamping polish again since I was disappointed with how it looked in my last manicure. I think the stamping showed up much better here so I was very happy. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! The stamping image I used was kind of hard to determine what it was. It looked like a cluster of flowers or a cluster of abstract butterflies to me. After much thinking, I'm thinking there butterflies but let me know what you think the image is.
I used China Glaze Towel Boy Toy on all the nails except the ring. I stamped with M Polish Snowberry with stamping plate BM-H13 from Bundle Monster. For the ring, I used Barielle A Bouquet For Ava and Sally Hansen Bling-tastic. Finished with KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
My bottle of China Glaze Towel Boy Toy is about half way empty so it was a bit difficult to apply since the consistency was thick. I did manage to get it to work and I think it looks good with the shimmery white stamping. What do you think?

Hi everyone! The stamping design that I stamped on was some cute three leaf clovers. I've been trying to use all of the stamping plates I own at least once but there's so many different designs to choose that its kind of hard to pick one to use. This three leaf clover pattern caught my eye though so here it is on my nails. I think there turned out pretty cute.
I used Barielle Welcome Ohm on all the nails except the ring. I stamped with Ya Qin An 23 from Born Pretty Store with stamping plate BM-H04 from Bundle Monster. Use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order from Born Pretty Store. For the ring nail, I used Essence Break Through and Sephora by OPI Too Good for Him. Finished with KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
The stamping turned out fantastic! I don't own a good light purple stamping polish so I was so happy with how opaque it showed up on my nails. Like the previous color I showed, this one had a pretty thick consistency that was easy to work with and it stamped on my nails pretty opaque especially for a lighter color.
I really like how this manicure turned out. That three leaf clover pattern was so cute when I stamped it on my nails. The lighter purple stamping polish goes really well on top of the darker purple base polish too. What do you think?

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is inspired by a city. I didn't really have a particular city in mind for the theme so I went with something general instead. I decided to just stamp some city inspired silhouettes instead of creating a manicure inspired by one specific city. I hope that's okay and fits with the theme alright. This was also my first time using my clear stamper from Born Pretty Store.
I used Sally Hansen Evening Fog and topped it with Darling Diva Polish The Harbinger on all the nails. I stamped with Born Pretty Stamping Polish in Black with stamping plate BM-414 from Bundle Monster. You can use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order from Born Pretty Store. Finished with KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
The clear jelly stamper from Born Pretty Store really helped with the image placement for this manicure. I'm happy to have the clear stamper to use since image placement is something I struggle with when I'm stamping sometimes. I like that I didn't have to prep the stamper head and was able to stamp right away with it.
I'm very happy with how these nails turned out. It definitely reminds me of a busy city and I hope everyone likes it too. I'm just so pleased since I didn't know how this manicure will turn out when I was creating it. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! So I got some nail mail from Born Pretty Store for review and I'm pretty excited about the package. I wanted to try out some new stamping polishes so I picked up a few from Ya Qin An to try out. The first one I'm showing today is a vibrant light blue creme.
I used OPI DS Illuminate on all the nails. I stamped with Ya Qin An 25 with stamping plate BP-35 from Born Pretty Store. You can use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your entire order. Finished with KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
The stamping polish Ya Qin An 25 costs $5.99 for a 18ml bottle right now over at Born Pretty Store. This was my first time trying out this brand of stamping polish and I was quite pleased with it. The consistency was thick and it was pretty opaque when I stamped it on the nails.
I'm happy with how the stamping turned out. It showed up pretty vibrant as it looks in the bottle but I like how muted and a bit soft it looks on top of the base color here. For some strange reason, the pictures I took don't do the manicure justice at all other than the last picture above. It looks so much better in real life. What do you think?

Here is my product empties post for the month of February. Not a lot of products that I emptied this month once again but I'm proud of myself for at least emptying a few items.
1. Listerine Healthy White Vibrant Clean Mint
This is the second bottle of Listerine that I've finished. This one was okay but I think I prefer the total care version I tried previously. This one foamed a lot more in my mouth and didn't make it feel as clean as the other one did.
2. Gokmul Care Creamy Cleansing Masque
This cleansing mask was really nice to use. It had a grainy texture to it so it did help to scrub/exfoiliate my skin a bit when I was massaging it on. The smell on it reminded me of something grainy but it wasn't unpleasant. I did have to use a spatula to get the product out but it lasted me for quite a while.
3. OriginalRaw Black Bubble
This is a black gel like cleanser that as you let sit on your skin, turns into a pretty thick foam. This was a pretty nice cleanser for me. It made my skin feel pretty clean and it didn't dry it out after I rinsed it off. The small tube gave me a couple of uses too.
4. Nivea Fruity Shine Strawberry
This was my everyday lip balm that I have been using. Its moisturizing and the scent on it is very nice. I like that it gave my lips a nice sheer red tint to them as well since it gave my complexion a bit of a natural glow. It would be a lip product I would repurchase.
5. Holika Holika I Want Chu in Strawberry and Yogurt
These two lip balms are ones I didn't like all that much. They had a very thin texture to them and they were very sweet smelling to the point where I felt like it did nothing for my lips in terms of moisturizing them. The scent on them was so strong I felt like I had sugar rubbed all over my lips. I'm throwing them away since I don't like them and they have passed their expiration date.
So those are my thoughts on all the products I emptied or tossed out. What did you finish in the month of February?
