Hi everyone and happy new years eve! For today's post which will probably be my last post of the year, I'm going to review a nail strengthener product that I was sent from Nail Polish Canada. It took me a long time to finally try out the Vitry Nail Repair Care Sensitive but I finally did so let's go ahead and see what I thought of it.
Product Description
Vitry Nail Repair Care Sensitive protects and strengthens damaged, fragile, split, and broken nails. Its exclusive formula enhanced with active bio ingredients helps repair, protect, and fortify nails.
Where to Buy
A bottle contains 10ml. You can purchase a bottle of the Vitry Nail Repair Care Sensitive from Nail Polish Canada for $26. They also carry the original Vitry Nail Repair Treatment for $23.
Packaging
The Vitry Nail Repair Care Sensitive came in a nice cardboard box highlighting and outlining what the product does. I like that there's a picture on it showing the result the Vitry Nail Repair Care Sensitive can have on your nails after using it for two weeks. Inside, the Vitry Nail Repair Care Sensitive is packaged in a simple white rounded bottle shape.
How To Use
Apply one coat every two days, making sure that you cleanse your nails between each application with the Vitry Extra Soft Nail Varnish Remover. May be used on its own or as a base with nail varnish.
My Review
First off, I have never used any kind of nail strengthener before so this was my first experience with this kind of product. I feel like my nails condition is average, its not that fragile but its not very strong too so I felt like this would be an interesting product for me to try out. When I first applied the Vitry Nail Repair Care Sensitive, it applied really smoothly on my nails so I found application on it really good. I liked the brush on it too since its a little on the wider size which I personally like since I feel like I can get a good even coat with it.
Once the Vitry Nail Repair Care Sensitive dried on my nails, it does leave a pretty shiny finish on the nails which I do like. You can definitely feel and see that there's something applied on to the nails even though the product is clear. There was a bit of a chemical smell on my nails after applying the product but after a few days, it does go away. I didn't have the Vitry Extra Soft Nail Varnish Remover so I used regular non acetone nail polish remover to cleanse the nails and apply a new coat every two days.
After testing the product for a little over two weeks, I can say that when I have the Vitry Nail Repair Care Sensitive on, it does make my nails feel thicker and stronger. This in turns makes me feel like my nails aren't as prone to breakage when I have it on compared to when I don't have it on. Since my nails don't break as often with this product on, they can grow stronger and thicker. Its definitely a nice product to use especially when you can't wear nail polish on a daily basis but would like something on the nails that's not too noticeable but makes you nails look polished.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I liked the product but I'm not 100% in love with it. Since my nails aren't really damaged and fragile, I feel like the Vitry Nail Repair Care Sensitive didn't really have much of an effect on my nails. I do like wearing it since it gives my nails a polished look and it makes my nails feel stronger whenever I have it on. I don't worry on breaking any of my nails when I have the product on. It didn't have much of an effect on my nails but I do recommend anyone who has more damaged, broken, or split nails to give the Vitry Nail Repair Care Sensitive a try since I've read many positive reviews on how it worked for others.
*Nail Polish Canada sent the Vitry Nail Repair Care Sensitive for review purposes. My opinion is 100% honest.*

Hi everyone! I wasn't planning to post again until the new year but I have some reviews I wanted to post up before 2017 ends. Here's the last swatches of another Born Pretty polish I was sent to review from Born Pretty Store. The other one I showed was a blue one, this one I'm showing today is a green one so let's see it.
Born Pretty Z004 Life Narration is a sheer green polish with duochrome micro glitter that shifts between green and pink in it. This polish is very similar to Ocean Illusion which I swatched already but the color is green and the color shift is different as well. Formula is sheer but I didn't find application on it hard. I definitely recommend layering this polish over a base polish since it does require a lot of coats for it to be fully opaque on the nails. This is four coats.
I'm pretty satisfied with the color. I'm not a huge fan of having to apply this many coats for it to opaque but I will probably layer it over a similar base color so I don't have to apply so many coats. What do you think?

Hi everyone! Since its the holiday season, I knew I had to do at least one holiday themed manicure so here it is. This is also my holiday manicure entry into Nail Polish Canada's Holiday Nail Art Challenge that there hosting. If you like my design, please make sure to vote for me here.
I used a variety of polishes so I'm just going to list them out: American Apparel Downtown LA, Color Club Merry And Bright, Color Club Ho-Ho-Holly, Orly Here Comes Trouble, OPI Jade is the New Black, and OPI Ali's Big Break. For the stamping, I used American Apparel Hassid with stamping plate BPL-032 and Celebration BPX-L008. Use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order from Born Pretty Store. Finished the manicure off with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
The stamping turned out a little more crooked but I think its okay since this is an ugly sweater themed design. Since Christmas is next week, I'm planning to take that week off from blogging to spend more time with family and friends. Don't worry though since I will be back in the new year. So I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy holidays! See you all in 2018! What do you think of this holiday manicure?

Happy Monday Blues! This is my last week of work before I get a holiday break from my workplace for about a week which is nice. I can sleep in and rest before going back in the year. Anyways, let's see today's blue nails.
OPI Ski Teal We Drop is a dark teal creme. The teal in this polish definitely leans a bit more on the blue side. I like the color of this shade and that its not too dark that it looks black when I have it on my nails. Its a great color to wear for the winter season right now. Formula and application on it was pretty good too. This is two coats.
Overall, I'm really pleased with this polish. I don't wear dark polishes all that much but I definitely plan to wear this one a lot especially during the colder weather right now. What do you think?

Hi everyone! The work dinner I went to on Monday was fun but I got a massive headache after coming home. I should have worn my hood when I was outside since I think the cold weather made me feel kind of dizzy after I got back home. I'm feeling better now so let's see today's nail polish swatch.
Dearberry Today Nail Lacquer #20 Fantasy is a orange creme. I only own a handful of orange polishes so I'm happy to have this one in my collection. Its a bright orange but I feel like its not overly bright so that makes it a bit more wearable on the nails. Formula and application was great on it too. This is two coats.
I'm really happy with this orange polish. I don't wear it nearly enough though but I'm going to try to since I feel like its pretty wearable on the nails. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! I can't believe its almost the end of the year. I actually have a work dinner to attend today so that will be fun since were doing a little gift exchange as well. Anyways, for today's blue polish, I'm swatching a nail polish I received from Born Pretty Store to review so let's check it out.
Born Pretty Z005 Ocean Illusion is a sheer blue polish with duochrome micro glitter that shifts between blue and purple in it. This polish is pretty sheer so it will take quite a few coats to build up the coverage. I definitely recommend layering this polish since I feel like you can see the duochrome effect much better that way. I found the formula on this polish pretty good even though its a sheer color. I also really like that the brush on this polish is the wide rounded type of brush since I feel it makes application easier. This is four coats.
I'm very happy with this polish but its a shame that you can't really see the blue to purple shift here. Its definitely a color that stands out when you have it on. I'm usually not a fan of polishes that require a lot of coats but in this case, I don't mind it that much since the color really is awesome. What do you think?

Here's my product empties post for November. I don't have a lot of product empties this month so let's get right into it.
1. Listerine Total Care Zero Mouthwash
My favorite mouthwash that I've been using for quite a while now. I've finished quite a few bottles of it already and plan to continue using it unless I find something better.
2. Rose Mine Dermaceutical Azulene Calming Gel
I was mainly using this at night but I think it would work much better in the morning. It kind of works and feels similar to aloe vera gel. Its a blue tinted gel and it really really cooling and soothing when applied to the skin. I liked it and would repurchase it to use for the Summer in particular.
3. Rivecowe Sebum Control Convenient Compact
This was my everyday face powder and I quite liked it. It doesn't have that much coverage but it kept my skin from appearing shiny/oily when I used it. It took me quite a while to use it all up too.
That's all for my product empties. Not a lot of products but I'm still happy that I finished a few things.

Happy Monday Blues! For today's blue manicure, I'm sharing some stamping I did using a stamping plate from Born Pretty Store I was sent to review. I own a lot of stamping plates from Born Pretty Store and I've always been pleased with them so I really did like this one as well. Let's see the manicure.
First, I used Essie Rock The Boat on all the nails. Next, I stamped with Born Pretty Stamping Nail Polish #2603 with stamping plate Geometry BP-X36 from Born Pretty Store. You can use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your entire order. Finished with a coat of Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
Here's a closer look at the stamping plate Geometry BP-X36. I like the mix of designs as well as the different sizes ranging from full nail to smaller designs that you can stamp onto your nails. This stamping plate is great for someone who likes either floral or tribal/aztec inspired designs.
I used a clear stamper to get the image centered on the nails and I think I did a pretty good job. Really happy with how the images stamped onto my nails and I like the mix of designs on the stamping plate too. What do you think?

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is camo. This manicure was a bit rushed since the weather during the day I took these pictures wasn't the best and I had to work quickly before it got too dark. So, let's check out my design.
First, I used China Glaze Mahogany Magic on all the nails. Next, I created the simple camouflage print with Nicole by OPI My Jay Or The Highway!, OPI I Brake For Manicures, and American Apparel Hassid with a dotting tool. Lastly, I finished with a coat of Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
It's been a really long time since I've done a camouflage print so I thought these turned out just okay. I went with a more neutral color scheme which I think fits with the cold weather right now. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! So the past week I've been feeling a little down. Hopefully, this week will be a bit better than last week. To help, I've been shopping online a bit more and trying to relax when I can. I've also decided to upgrade my phone so I'm waiting for that to arrive in the mail. Anyways, let's see today's blue nail polish.
Essie Rock The Boat is a soft pale sky blue with a subtle shimmer running through it. I really like the shade of blue this polish is and that shimmer in it just makes it so much more pretty. Even though I really like the color, the formula wasn't the greatest. I found the formula streaky so I had trouble with applying the color on the nails evenly. This is three coats.
So even though the formula isn't the best, I'm still pretty fond of the color and will continue to wear it on my nails often. What do you think?

Hi everyone! The weather for this entire week is suppose to be raining all day which I like but its not good for me to take any pictures though. I'm a little behind on my posts I have planned so hopefully, the weather will clear up a little so I can take some pictures. Anyways, I have a glitter polish to share for today's swatch post so let's get right into it.
Nicole by OPI Haley Good Lookin'... has pink micro glitters and larger hexagon glitters in a clear base. The hexagon glitters do have a little of a holographic effect to it when the light hits it which adds something different to the polish. The formula had a good amount of glitter to clear base so I found application on this polish great. The glittery payoff was pretty good with just one coat too. This is one coat over GOSH Hot Coral.
Even though this glitter looks pretty in the bottle, I just didn't like how it looked on the nails here. I think I might have to either try wearing it on its own or layering it over another base polish. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! The weather where I live has been getting colder and there's been a lot of rain this past week which I'm happy about. I do wish that it will start snowing soon since December is almost here and I really enjoy having a snowy cold winter. Anyways, here's my blue nail art manicure!
I used Love & Beauty Sand Lacquer Blue Jewel on all the nails. I stamped with Born Pretty Stamping Polish in White with stamping plate BM-316 from Bundle Monster. Use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order from Born Pretty Store.
The stamping turned out a little warped and faded but I still think it looks good. I tried to get it on the center of my nails and I think I did a pretty good job with it. What do you think?

Todays' Twinsie Tuesday theme is inspired by your mug. The mug I've been using hasn't changed at all from last time. So, its basically a dark blue colored mug with a lighter cream shade inside so I decided to create a design using similar colors to my mug. It's been a while since I've done a dry brush manicure so I thought today will be a good chance to do one.
I used Finger Paints To-Teally Chic on all the nails. I used the dry brush technique with Ciaté Cream Soda and OPI Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine!. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
This dry brush design is a lot more subtle than what I've done before but I really like how it turned out. It's subtle but its great if you want a design on the nails that's not too flashy. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! Today I'm swatching a texture polish. I don't think I've ever done any swatch posts on a texture polish until now so let's get right into it.
Love & Beauty Sand Lacquer Blue Jewel is a medium blue texture polish packed with teal and gold flecks. The color of this texture polish is gorgeous and one I tend to gravitate towards. I purchased a set of these Love & Beauty Sand Lacquer polishes from Forever21 a while ago when texture polishes was starting to come out. I've tried out each color and I really like them a lot. The formula was on the thicker side but I didn't find application on it too hard. This is two coats.
Texture polishes are typically worn as is but if your not a fan of the rough texture it has on the nails, you can definitely still apply a top coat on top of it. It does dull the cool texture look to it but overall, the color is still pretty nice on the nails. What do you think?

Here's my product empties for the month of October. I didn't really finish one individual product this month but I did go through my makeup collection and decided to throw out a lot of products. The main reasons I decided to throw these out are either because they expired or I've haven't used them in a really long time. Hopefully next month, I will have actually products I've emptied to show.
1. Miscellaneous Makeup Products
I was planning to create some manicures for my blog during the two days I have off work during one week but it was raining those two days so instead, I decided to go through my makeup collection. I have some makeup, not a lot but I haven't used quite a few of them in a couple of years so I thought it was time to throw some things out. Now that I look at it, it seems like a lot. Most of these products I decided to throw out were either because its expired or I haven't touched them in a while. I still have some makeup left but its all fits into two drawers instead of three now. I don't wear makeup all that often so I'm okay with parting with these even though its difficult for me to throw anything away.
Let me know what you've emptied this month. I'm a bit sad to throw these products out but I just don't use them anymore and its really bad to keep such old cosmetics around.

Happy Monday Blues! I was in the mood for some simple galaxy nails so I created a pretty simple one here. The blue polish I used looked like outer space and along with the stars I stamped on, it resembles a galaxy to me.
I used Chi Chi Baby We Can Parlez on all the nails. I stamped with Ya Qin An 26 with stamping plate BP-06 from Born Pretty Store. Use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
I like this manicure quite a bit since its so simple but really pretty at the same time. What do you think?

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is stamping decals. I was planning to do a full stamping decal manicure but I was a little
pressed for time so I only did the stamping decal on one nail instead. So, let's go ahead and see the design then.
I used Sephora by OPI Metro Too Chic on all the nails. For the stamping decal I created, I used stamping plate BP-61 from Born Pretty Store along with Born Pretty Stamping Polish in Black, Julep Joy, and Julep Sylvia. Use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
I still think it turned out pretty cute with the stamping decal as a accent nail here. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! I have another blue polish swatch to share today. I'm actually a little behind on my blog posts since the weather has been terrible and my nails haven't been in the best condition recently. I only have posts scheduled for the next two weeks but hopefully I can be back on schedule soon. Anyways, let's see the polish.
Chi Chi Baby We Can Parlez has a mix of blue, green, and silver hexagon and small glitters in a sheer dark blue jelly base. In the bottle, it almost looks like a glittery galaxy and I found it looks just as great on the nails too. However, I did find the formula to be on the watery and thin side so I did find application a little difficult since I had to be extra careful not to flood my nails with it. This is three coats with top coat.
I'm pretty happy with the polish and how it looks on the nails but I just wished the formula was a little better. I think this polish will be better layered over a base color instead of worn my itself since it does take a few coats to build up the coverage. What do you think?
Chi Chi Baby We Can Parlez has a mix of blue, green, and silver hexagon and small glitters in a sheer dark blue jelly base. In the bottle, it almost looks like a glittery galaxy and I found it looks just as great on the nails too. Hi everyone! Since I don't have much time to do nail art these nails, I've been sharing polish swatches instead which is also good. I haven't bought any new nail polish in a really long since I'm pretty content with what I have in my collection and sharing these swatches is a great way for me to discover colors I already have. Here's a nice red that I'm sharing today.
GOSH Hot Coral is a bright coral red creme. This is the only GOSH polish I own but I should really try out more colors from this brand. I don't find this color all that unique but if your looking for a vibrant coral red creme polish, I recommend checking this one out. The formula was opaque enough that I could have gotten away with one coat so I found application on this polish great. I did wish the brush on this polish was more on the thicker side since I prefer that kind of brush over the skinny ones. This is two coats.
This polish without top coat was pretty shiny on its own which was nice to see. I think its a great shade for Summer to wear as a manicure or pedicure color too. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! The weather where I live has been really rainy and cold which makes me happy since I much prefer the colder weather. So for today's nail polish swatch, I'm sharing a color that's perfect to wear during the colder season right now. Let's go ahead and check it out.
Chi Chi Wango Tango is a dark blacken blue packed with a bright teal shimmer with a subtle iridiscent purple flash to it. This polish is so hard to describe so you really have to see it in person to know how pretty it is. The iridiscent purple flash is pretty subtle and shows up when you look at the polish at a certain angle which is pretty cool. The polish had a nice formula to it so I found pretty easy on it. This is two coats.
I'm pretty pleased with this color and think its so perfect for fall/winter too. I'm definitely going to be wearing this color a lot. What do you think?

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is black and orange. Since Halloween is in October, I thought it would be appropriate to create a Halloween themed manicure. This is also probably going to be the only Halloween themed manicure I'm sharing this year since I've been busy lately so let's see it.
I used Orly Right Amount Of Evil on all the nails. I stamped with Born Pretty Stamping Polish in Black with stamping plate BP-81 from Born Pretty Store. Use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
I think these turned out pretty great. The treat or treat words on my ring nail was a little faded in the pictures but it looks find in real life. It simple and I think it would look great worn during Halloween. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! Today I'm sharing a polish swatch of a glitter polish so let's get right to it.
Girly Bits Eight Crazy Nights is packed with blue, silver, and holographic hexagon, square, diamond, and micro glitter pieces in a clear base. The glitter topper is pretty awesome layered over a base color like this. I found the formula great so this made application really easy on it. The polish is so packed with glitter that I found it pretty easy to get a nice even coat of glitter on the nails without using the dabbing method. This is two coats over China Glaze Electric Beat with top coat.
Overall, a pretty great glitter topper especially if you like blue, silver, and holographic together. I really enjoy the glitter and I'm happy to have it in my collection. What do you think?
