Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is inspired by art. When I was googling for artwork designs and saw this design here, I knew I had to recreate it and I thought it would look great as a
manicure which I think it does. So, let's see the design.
First, I used American Apparel Dance on all the nails. Next, I used the dry brush technique to apply on Essie Case Study, OPI I Brake For Manicures, Gosh Hot Coral, Jessica Tangerine Dreamz, and American Apparel Sunshine State, making sure to apply more of the brown shades over the other colors. Finished with KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
The dry brush technique is such an easy design to create and it always ends up looking pretty good each time I've done it. I did break my ring nail recently so I had to file down all my nails to this shorter length to make everything look more even. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! I've been feeling so tired since I've started working full time. When I have a day off, I usually spend it at home sleeping in. So, I've been feeling kind of lazy which is something I want to change. Hopefully, my energy will start to pick up and I can be more productive soon. Anyways, let's see what blue polish I have to share today.
L'Oreal Paris Avenues is a soft dusty blue creme with a hint of grey in it. This color is from the L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Le Vernis Autumn Collection. I won this particular polish in a giveaway and I'm really pleased with it. I've worn this color a lot on my blog and in real life. The formula was good and I like that the brush on this polish is on the wider and rounded side so it makes application super easy for me. This is two coats.
I'm so happy to own this color in my collection. Its one of my favorite dusty blues that I own too. I'm going to be so sad when my bottle of it is used up. What do you think?

Hi everyone! I have an exciting unboxing and first impressions on some new skincare products from Avon that I received for review. This new NutraEffects skincare line from Avon has has the key ingredient of Chia seeds, which are nature's storehouse of Omega 3 fatty acids and antioxidants. So, let's take a look at my package.
Everything came nicely packed in a thin cardboard box with a band around it. Once you open the box, its packed really well with two skincare products and extras.
What's extra cute about this package was along with the skincare products I received, I also received a little pot for plants and a bag of soil along with some Chia seeds and Bird of Paradise seeds to grow which is so neat and ties in with the ingredients in the two night creams I received from the NutraEffects skincare line from Avon. I don't have much of a green thumb but I think my mom would enjoy them since she gardens during her spare time.
This new NutraEffects line with active seed complex from Avon comes in four different types: Hydration, Radiance, Ageless, and Balance. The two night creams I received are the Radiance and Ageless ones.
The Radiance cream is for dull, uneven skin tones. This cream contains Chia seeds and Bird of Paradise seeds known to reduce the look of pigmentation, which can lead to discoloration. The key benefit of this product is that it visibly restores radiance, eliminates dullness, and evens out skin tone. In one day, it should awaken skin's natural radiance. In two weeks, it reduces the appearance of discoloration.
The Ageless cream is for early signs of aging. This cream contains Chia seeds and Pomegranate extract which is a well know source of antioxidants, crucial for preventing and reversing signs of aging. The key benefit is that it smoothes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Nourishes and firms the skin too. In one day, it softens the look of lines and wrinkles. In two weeks, skin looks and feels younger; youthful fullness is restored.
I've tried skincare products with natural ingredients in them before but never with ones with Chia seeds in particular so this was exciting to receive. I haven't tried the two night creams out yet though since I currently have a lot of other skincare products I need to use right now. However, I wanted to share this new skincare line from Avon with everyone in case anyone was interested in them. Each of the NutraEffects creams will cost $20 and will be available as of February 2017 on the Avon website.
*Avon sent these products as PR samples. My opinion is 100% honest.*

Happy Monday Blues! For today's nail polish swatch, I'm sharing a fun colorful glitter topper. I still have a lot of untried polishes in my collection, especially from my indie brand polishes. So let's get started and try to wear as many of my untried as I can for this year. Let's see which glitter polish this one is then.
Amy's Nail Boutique Fiesta has a mix of blue, green, red, yellow, orange, and purple medium matte hexagon glitters in a clear base. This glitter polish really reminds me of those rainbow glitter polishes that were really popular when it first came out. I like that that glitter pieces are more on the matte side compared to the shinier ones. For the formula, I did notice there was mcuh more clear base polish over glitter so you either have to use the dabbing method or sponging method to get a denser glitter pay off. This is three coats over Sephora by OPI Blue Grotto with top coat.
This polish looks so fun in the bottle and I really like the look I got on the nails but I just wished the glitter was a bit more dense. It was hard trying to get a decent amount of glitter on the brush for me to apply onto the nails. I also noticed there was quite a few hexagon glitter pieces that were broken and bubbling was happening too. What do you think?

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is forgotten favorite. I tend to like a lot of polishes so it was hard for me to choose which ones to use. In the end, I decided on two polishes that I really enjoy and haven't worn on my nails in a long time too. I paired them together in a glitter gradient which is one technique I really like doing so let's see it.
I used Zoya Bevin on all the nails. I created the glitter gradient using KBShimmer Bejeweled, making sure to apply more glitter on the tips by sponging it on. Finished with KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
This pairing is pretty unusual but I think it looks good. I love creating glitter gradients too since the color combinations are endless. I don't know why but after adding top coat on, I noticed that the glitter kind of moved up from the tips of my nail. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! So, life has been busy with me since I've starting working full time again. I feel like I don't have the energy or time to do anything but work and sleep now. I'm happy that I'm at least earning an income again and I plan to save up to travel somewhere this year. That's one of my main goals for this year and I hope to accomplish it. Anyways, I have a dark blue polish swatch to share today so let's see it then.
Sephora by OPI Blue Grotto is a dark navy blue creme. The color almost looks like an inky blue but its a little too light in shade for that. I like how dark this color is and that's its not too dark that it almost looks black on the nails. The formula was on the watery side so application was a little tricky for me but still manageable. This is two coats.
I like this dark blue polish a lot. If your in the mood for something dark on the nails, this is a nice alternative to a black polish. What do you think?

Hi everyone! So I have another polish swatch to share today. I really enjoy sharing polish swatches since there much more easier to do than nail art and it gives me a chance to use some polishes I haven't even worn yet. This purple I'm showing is one I've worn a few times already so let's see the polish.
Finger Paints Grape Gumball is a medium grape purple with silver shimmers. This polish is really unique to me because the shimmer in it kind of gives the color a speckled look. Depending on how the light hits it, the silver shimmers sometimes reflect a little blue as well. I also wouldn't say this is a true purple because it does have some blue tones to it. The formula was good so application was easy for me. This is two coats.
Overall, this color was great and I don't have anything in my collection quite like it. The only negative thing that I don't like about it is that the label on the bottle rubs off as you can tell in the pictures. Only the Finger Paints polishes that I own do this which is sad to see. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! So I got something exciting to share today. I was chosen as one of the top 50 nail polish blogs on the web by Feedspot. It was such a honor to be on the list since there's so many amazing nail polish blogs and websites out there. It definitely made my day and its a huge accomplishment too. Anyways, let's see the polish I'm sharing today.
Pure Ice Twisted is a blue green duochrome glass fleck polish. This color is so hard to describe since depending on the light and angle, the color can change to look more blue or green. I just love it since its so sparkly when I have it on. I only own a handful of Pure Ice polishes and this is one is definitely a color I'm very happy to have in my collection. The formula is on the sheer side but application on this polish was easy for me. This is three coats.
I'm so pleased with this color. Its one polish I wear quite often and I like it the more I wear it too. The color just has so much depth and dimension in it to me. What do you think?

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is non-dominant hand mani. I was planning to do one but I've been busy with work and other personal things that I just didn't have the time to complete this theme. Plus, the nails on my other hand isn't really in the best condition too. However, be sure to check out the manicures the other Twinsies did.

Happy Monday Blues! I hope everyone had a happy new year over the weekend. I still can't believe its already 2017....I don't have any resolutions this year planned out for blogging but I do have one resolution for my personal life. The one thing I would like to accomplish this year is to travel to somewhere since I've never really been anywhere far. So hopefully, I will be able to do that sometime this year. Anyways, let's go ahead and see my first nail art design for this new year then.
I used OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls on my ring nail and I double stamped with Ya Qin An 26 and Ya Qin An 25 using stamping plate BM-312 from Bundle Monster. Use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order from Born Pretty Store. For the ring nail, I used Dollish Polish Spank You Very Much and for the rest of the nails, I used Pretty & Polished King of C-C-Cool. Finished with KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
I really enjoy the look of the double stamping design here. The yellow and blue really go well together and works with the other colors in this manicure. I didn't really know how to describe the stamping image I used other than looking like a textured like design. What do you think?
