Teal Shimmer with Yellow Floral Pattern Stamping

Monday, May 29, 2017

Happy Monday Blues! Its really starting to heat up where I live. When I go to work, its cool but when I'm off work and going back home, its so humid with no wind. I'm not a huge fan of the hot weather but I checked the weather forecast and its suppose to cool down a bit this week. Anyways, let's see my blue manicure.

I used Sephora by OPI Skinny Jeans on all the nails. I stamped with Ya Qin An 26 with stamping plate BP-27 from Born Pretty Store. Use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

These turned out looking okay to me. I'm not in love with the floral image I used and I did stamp it on a little crooked on the nails too. What do you think?

Twinsie Tuesday: Inspired by a Cartoon

Tuesday, May 23, 2017

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is inspired by a cartoon. I watched a lot of cartoons growing up but I wanted to do one that I haven't done a design for. So, I went with Pokemon for my inspiration for today's nails.

Pokemon Inspired Nail Art

First, I blocked off the middle of my nails using striping tape. Next, I filled in the top with Gosh Hot Coral and the bottom with Salon Perfect Sugar Cube. While the polish was still wet, I peeled off the striping tape. I filled in the negative area with Sweet Color Nail Art Liner in Black from Born Pretty Store. Use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order. Then I dotted the center with a black dot. When that fully dried, I dotted on a smaller white dot inside of that. I also used the Sweet Color Nail Art Liner in White to correct any mistakes I made. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

These took me quite a while to create. I thought they turned out okay in the end though. Some of the lines and circles aren't perfect but I tried my best. What do you think?

Orly Spazmatic

Monday, May 22, 2017

Happy Monday Blues! Its starting to get pretty warm and hot where I live right now. Hopefully, I'll be able to get some more posts scheduled and ready ahead of time since the hot weather isn't the best time for me to do my nails. It always seem to bubble during the hot weather for me. Anyways, I have a blue glitter polish to show today.

Orly Spazmatic has bright blue hexagon glitters with small blue shimmers in a clear base. I like this glitter polish mainly because of the small blue shimmers in it. It was unexpected and it makes the polish a little more unique to me I think this glitter would look especially great over a black base polish too. Both the formula and application was good as well. I did have to do a little dabbing in order to get a good amount of those hexagon glitters on the nails though. This is two coats over MisQs Kaya Nail Polish SP002 with top coat.

This was a fun glitter topper. There's a lot of different colored base polishes you can use underneath it to create different looks too. What do you think?

Sephora by OPI Let's Pilé

Thursday, May 18, 2017

Hi everyone! I have a quick polish swatch to share today. This one is a nice pale neutral color so let's see it the polish.

Sephora by OPI Let's Pilé is a pale peachy nude with a subtle silver shimmer in it. I don't usually go for nude colors but its a nice change on the nails every once in a while. However, the formula was pretty watery and thin so application was pretty bad. I even had to be extra careful when applying the color so it wouldn't flood my cuticles. This is four coats.

In the end, this polish was just okay for me. I would have liked it much more if the formula was better though since four coats is a little much for me. I do however still enjoy the color and will go for it when I'm in the mood for something light and simple on the nails. What do you think?

Blue Underwater Themed Stamping

Monday, May 15, 2017

Happy Monday Blues! For today's nail art design, I'm sharing a underwater themed stamping manicure. I used a stamping plate from MoYou London that has a lot of different sea creatures in it so I thought it would look great together on the nails. Let's see the design then.

Twinsie Tuesday: Inspired by a Toy

Tuesday, May 9, 2017

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is inspired by a toy. My inspiration is the Tamagotchi toy. I used to play with this little device when I was younger and loved it. I actually still have it and it still works too. Sometimes, I take it out and play with it when I'm in the mood for it. Anyways, let's see the design I created.

Tamagotchi Inspired Nail Art

I used China Glaze Electric Beat on the ring and middle nail. Next, I stamped with the base polish and Ya Qin An #25 together with stamping plate BM-301 from Bundle Monster. After that, I stamped again with Born Pretty Stamping Polish in White with stamping plate BM-311. For the ring and middle nail, I stamped with Born Pretty Stamping Polish in Black with stamping plate BP-45 and stamping plate BP-L025. For the rest of the nails, I used Jessica Tangerine Dreamz. Then, I stamped with Ya Qin An #26 with stamping plate BM-415. You can use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order from Born Pretty Store.  Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

Dark Teal Pearl with Black Floral Lace Stamping

Monday, May 8, 2017

Happy Monday Blues! For today's blue manicure, I did some floral lace stamping. I had on this pretty dark teal color on my nails and thought a black floral lace design would go well with it. Let's see the design then.

I really liked how these nails turned out. I didn't really have a specific design in mind so I just went and looked at what stamping plates I haven't used yet. I'm very pleased with how the black floral lace stamping looks on top of the deep teal base. What do you think?

April 2017 Product Empties

Thursday, May 4, 2017

Here's my product empties for the month of April. I was able to finish up quite a few products and I went through my makeup collection again to get rid of some items that have either expired or that I haven't used in a long time. Let's see what the products are then.

April 2017 Product Empties

1. The Yeon Jeju Hallabong Energy Mild All In One Serum
This was my current serum I have been using and I really liked it. It had a nice citrus scent to it and it felt very cooling and hydrating when I applied it on my skin. The bottle lasted me quite a few months too. I have a second bottle of this that I'm going to use soon too. This would definitely be something I would repurchase again.

2. Various Makeup Products
I did another clearing out of my makeup collection again. I'm throwing away a lot of eyeliners that have dried out and other products that are either colors I don't wear or they have expired.

3. Grinif Queen of Rose Water Anti-Wrinkle Eyecream
This was my current eye cream that I was using both day and night. It was moisturizing and the container lasted me for quite a long time too. I liked it and would be a product I would consider repurchasing again.

4. China Glaze Blue Sparrow (Neon)
I hate throwing away any nail polish but this one has just completely dried out and its almost at the end of the bottle too. It was a nice bright blue too.

5. ddung Family Fruits Foam Cleaning Cream
This was my night time cleanser and I thought it was just okay. I didn't particularly love the scent on it and it wasn't anything special. The cleanser was a pretty thick cream that did lather well on the skin though.

6. Youngwoosa Oh! It's lovely and Soft Cream
This was my night time moisturizer and it was good. It didn't have a scent and it was moisturizing when applied on the skin. I felt like it keep my skin feeling soft and hydrated through the night. The tub took me a while to use up too.

That's it for my product empties for April. I'm slowly but surely using up all the skincare products I've accumulated which makes me happy since that means I'm going to be able to purchase new skincare items when I use all of them up. Let me know what you've emptied this month in the comments too.

OPI Suzi Says Feng Shui

Monday, May 1, 2017

Happy Monday Blues! For today's swatch post, I'm sharing one of my favorite blue polishes. So let's see the color then.

OPI Suzi Says Feng Shui is a bright cobalt blue creme. This is probably one of my most favorite blue creme polishes that I own. Every time I wear it on the nails, I'm just reminded with how much I just love the color.  The formula on this polish was really good. I could have even gotten away with one coat if I applied the color on more thickly. Since the formula was good, application on it was very easy for me too. This is two coats.

I'm very pleased with this polish and just love how it looks on my nails. I also like that the color isn't too dark or light too. What do you think?
