Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is inspired by a cartoon. I watched a lot of cartoons growing up but I wanted to do one that I haven't done a design for. So, I went with Pokemon for my inspiration for today's nails.
First, I blocked off the middle of my nails using striping tape. Next, I filled in the top with Gosh Hot Coral and the bottom with Salon Perfect Sugar Cube. While the polish was still wet, I peeled off the striping tape. I filled in the negative area with Sweet Color Nail Art Liner in Black from Born Pretty Store. Use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order. Then I dotted the center with a black dot. When that fully dried, I dotted on a smaller white dot inside of that. I also used the Sweet Color Nail Art Liner in White to correct any mistakes I made. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
These took me quite a while to create. I thought they turned out okay in the end though. Some of the lines and circles aren't perfect but I tried my best. What do you think?

If you would not mentioned the Pokemon cartoon, I wouldn't knew that you took the inspiration from it. I like the fun looking outcome.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I could have attempted to create one of the Pokemon characters but I didn't have time so instead I went with the Pokemon ball a lot of people can recognize.

I think this looks awesome, I guessed it was Pokeballs right away! And I think you did a great job with the black lines, those are never easy. By the way, I have to mention I am always in love with how glossy and shiny your nails look!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I thought everyone would probably know what cartoon I was doing once they saw the design.
