GlassesShop.com Eyeglasses Review

Thursday, June 29, 2017

Hi everyone! I have a pair of sunglasses to review for you all that I received from GlassesShop.com. GlassesShop.com is an online prescription eyeglasses and prescription sunglasses website that has a nice selection of eye wear at pretty affordable prices. Anyways, let's see the pair of sunglasses I'm reviewing today then.

GlassesShop.com Eyeglasses Review - Vancouver Aviator

Packaging
When I received the sunglasses, it was shipped inside a small rectangle cardboard box. Inside, the sunglasses came in its own clear plastic case along with a coupon code for a discount off my next order from them. I like that the sunglasses case is clear since this allows me to see what is inside. There is also a nice star like pattern all over the case which makes it a bit more prettier. The case closes shut securely and I feel like the case will protect my sunglasses inside well when I have this in my bag or something. Inside the case is the sunglasses and a cloth to clean the lenses with. Overall, I'm happy with how everything was packaged and presented to me.

The Sunglasses
I choose a pair of sunglasses to review because since summer is here, I wanted some new sunglasses to wear. They offer a nice selection of sunglasses on their website so I had a hard time choosing one but I finally did after much thinking. The sunglasses I choose was the Vancouver Aviator and they retail for $34.95. I really like the look of these sunglasses and have never owned a pair of aviators too so I wanted to give them a try. The sunglasses itself was a lot lighter than I expected which I don't mind since they won't be heavy when I have them on. They fit me well and I really like how they look on me. I feel like the sunglasses was nicely made and the quality is good considering the price on them.

My Review
This was my first experience working with GlassesShop.com and I really enjoyed it. Their communication was quick and friendly and I received my sunglasses a little over a week which is fast considering it was shipped from China. The Vancouver Aviator sunglasses I received was nicely made and it was pretty stylish too. The pictures of my sunglasses on their website was pretty accurate to what I received in real life as well.

Final Thoughts
Overall, if your looking for some affordable eyeglasses online, I definitely recommend you to check out GlassesShop.com. They have a nice selection of eye wear for you to choose from and their prices are very reasonable too. Shipping time was pretty quick and their customer service was great. Since I had a great experience with them, I will definitely come back and check out the other eyeglasses they offer when I'm looking for some new eye wear.

Shimmery Red with Dark Blue Tribal Inspired Stamping

Monday, June 26, 2017

Happy Monday Blues! The weather for the past week and this week has been so hot. Yesterday in particular was probably one of the hottest days so far that it was a little hard to sleep at night. Hopefully, the summer will pass by fast for me since I'm not a fan of this hot weather but in the mean time let's see today's nail art.

Shimmery Red with Dark Blue Tribal Inspired Stamping Nail Art

I used Orly Emberstone on all the nails. I stamped with Born Pretty Stamping Nail Polish 7# with stamping plate BP-L054 from Born Pretty Store. To stamp, I used a new Clear Silicone Stamper from Born Pretty Store. Use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

Here's a closer look at stamping plate BP-L054 and the Clear Silicone Stamper. I'm liking all the designs included in stamping plate and the Clear Silicone Stamper will make it so much easier for me to pick up larger images too.

I love how these turned out a lot. The stamping plate has some great designs I'm excited to use and the stamper is a great addition since I don't have any clear stampers of this particular size. What do you think?

Twinsie Tuesday: Inspired by Your Job

Tuesday, June 20, 2017

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is inspired by your job. I'm currently working as a bakery assistant at a bakery. I decided to look through my stamping plates to try to find a bakery looking design so here's what I came up with.

Purple Bakery Inspired Stamping Nail Art

First, I used Funky Fingers Jawbreaker on all the nails. Next, I stamped with Born Pretty Stamping Nail Polish 23# with stamping plate BP-L023 from Born Pretty Store. You can use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your entire order. Lastly, I finished with a coat of Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

I thought these turned out pretty cute. I wanted to try stamping over a crelly polish this time since I haven't done it in a while and I thought the result was good. The stamping is subtle which I don't really mind here. What do you think?

Sephora by OPI Skinny Jeans

Monday, June 19, 2017

Happy Monday Blues! I've been really liking the weather this past week since its been on the cooler side. For some reason, I've been feeling a lot more tired lately too but I think its because I'm working full time and only have two days off each week. Hopefully, my energy will get back up soon. Anyways, let's see the blue polish I'm sharing today.

Sephora by OPI Skinny Jeans is a teal with a lighter green shimmer running through it. This color is so hard to describe but I think the lighter green shimmer in it makes it a little bit more unique over the normal shimmery teal polishes out there. The formula and application was great on this polish. I also like the brush on the Sephora by OPI polishes too since its on the wider side which makes application much more easier for me. This is two coats.

I really enjoy the look of this polish and I really should wear it on my nails more often. Its a nice color and I'm happy to own it. What do you think?

MisQs Kaya Nail Polish SP002

Wednesday, June 14, 2017

Hi everyone! I have a quick polish swatch to share today so let's see the color then.

MisQs Kaya Nail Polish SP002 is a bright peach creme. When I first saw this color, I knew I was really going to like it. On my nails, it definitely makes my hand look more tan than it really is. The formula was good but I did notice some patchy spots when applying the first coat. However, the second coat definitely smoothed everything out. I think this color would be perfect to wear during the warmer months of Spring and Summer. This is two coats.

I also think this polish would look really great as a pedicure color too. What do you think?

Red with Blue Glitter and White Faded Stamping

Monday, June 12, 2017

Happy Monday Blues! This weekend, my workplace had a karaoke night on Sunday. I didn't go to the last company outing but I was able to go to this one. I haven't really been to karaoke before so it was fun going to one and hearing others sing. Anyways, let's see today's nail art.

Red with Blue Glitter and White Faded Stamping Nail Art

First, I used Sephora by OPI I'm So Sari! on the ring, middle, and thumb nail. Next, I stamped with Milani White On The Spot with stamping plate BP-55 from Born Pretty Store. For the stamper, I used this new Born Pretty Christmas Nail Art Stamper. You can use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order. For the rest of the nails, I used Jessica Atomic Red. Finished with a coat of Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

Here's a closer look at the Born Pretty Christmas Nail Art Stamper. After using this stamper for this manicure, I did find it hard to use. I did like the size of it though since it allows me to pick up larger images. The stampers I've used in the past have been more firm and less sticky than this one. I still need to practice using it because I found it very hard to pick up and transfer the image onto my nails as you can see in this manicure. Every time I tried to pick up the image, it would only partially get the design. I attempted multiple times and this was the best I could do.

I'm not too happy with how these turned out. I think I would have liked it a lot more if the stamping turned out better. I did try picking up the image with a more firmer stamper that I usually use afterwards and it picked up the design much better. If anyone has any tips on how to use this soft and sticky stamper, please let me know. What do you think?

Twinsie Tuesday: Zig Zags

Tuesday, June 6, 2017

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is zig zags. When I think of zig zags, I usually think of a chevron pattern so I went with that idea for the design on my nails. I have some chevron striping tape that I haven't used yet so I thought now would be a good time to try them out. Let's see the design then.

Golden Purple Chevron Nail Art

I used Essence Break Through on all the nails. I used chevron striping tape from Born Pretty Store and placed pieces on the ring and middle nail after making sure the base color was fully dried. Use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order. Then I applied OPI It's My Year on top and peeled off the tape. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

I'm pretty happy with how the chevron design turned out. I chose to only have two of the nails with the chevron pattern on it since I didn't want my nails to be too busy with the design. What do you think?

China Glaze Towel Boy Toy

Monday, June 5, 2017

Happy Monday Blues! The weather last week was so much cooler which made me so happy since I really don't like feeling hot. Anyways, I have a nice summer color to share today so let's see the polish.

China Glaze Towel Boy Toy is a bright sky blue with a subtle blue shimmer in it. This color is suppose to be a neon but I don't think it's that bright to be one. It does dry matte which neon polishes do. Seeing this color, it reminds me so much of pool water. In the swatch pictures, its appears much more lighter than it does in real life though. The formula was a little thin but it applied pretty well for me. If you want to lessen the amount of coats you have to apply, I suggest layering this polish over a white base polish. This is three coats with top coat.

Even though I'm not a huge fan of polishes having me to apply three coats, for this particular color I don't mind it. Its just so pretty on the nails and would be perfect on the nails when your lounging around by the pool too. What do you think?

May 2017 Product Empties

Thursday, June 1, 2017

Here's my product empties for May. I didn't empty out too much for this month but at least I did have a few products still to share with you all. Let's see the products and what I thought of them then.

May 2017 Product Empties

1. Pureplus Honey Bee Lip Treatment
This has been my night time lip care treatment that I've been using. I only use it at night right before I go to sleep because it has quite a thick sticky consistency to it. It was very moisturizing on my lips and I felt like it really helped to keep my lips soft when I'm sleeping. This small tube of it lasted me for quite a while too. I think there's still a little left but its really hard to squeeze out so I thought it was time to toss it out.

2. Onyx Professional Nail Polish Remover Strawberry Scent
I bought these since I wanted to try a nail polish remover other than pure acetone. It was just okay though. It took a longer time to remove my nail polish and the strawberry scent to it was kind of weird. I probably won't repurchase this again unless I really  have to.

3. Edén's Semilla Vitamin C Serum
I was sent this product for review purposes and I really ended up liking it a lot. I like how it made my skin appear more brighter in appearance whenever I used it. It felt cooling and pretty hydrating on the skin too. I do plan on purchasing a new bottle of it once I used up my other skincare products.

4. Edén's Semilla Hyaluronic Acid Serum
Like the Vitamin C Serum, I also really liked this product as well. It was more hydrating on the skin and it made my skin look more glowy whenever I used it. Its definitely a serum I will purchase a full size bottle too.

That's all for my product empties for May. I'm sad to see the two serums finished but I still have a lot of other things to go through before I can repurchase them again. Let me know what you've emptied this month too.
