Happy Monday Blues! So last week, I got my hair cut and colored for the first time ever. I didn't really do anything different with my hair cut. I just had it shorten to around my collar bone. I did get some highlights done but the color I chose was on the darker side so its not really noticeable against my black hair unless there's light shining on it. Overall, I like it but I'm not in love with it. It was pretty expensive for highlights too so if I do decide to color my hair again, I'll probably opt to color all my hair instead of getting highlights again. Anyways, let's see the polish I'm swatching today.
American Apparel American Denim is a light blue creme. I like this shade since its not too light or dark when applied on the nails. The polish also reminds me of the color of sky on a clear day. The formula is a little on the thicker side so I found application a little hard but it wasn't too bad. The color was pretty opaque so I could have gotten away with just one coat if I applied it on more thickly. This is two coats with top coat.
I own quite a few of the American Apparel polishes and I quite like the ones I've used so far. They make some pretty great creme polishes in particular. What do you think?

Hi everyone! Here's the last review post I have on a new product from Born Pretty Store that I was sent to review. I've been seeing a lot of these nail art stamping mats so I was interesting in trying one out. Let's see the manicure I created using it and what I thought of the product then.
I used Ciaté Cream Soda on my ring nail. I created a floral decal using Born Pretty Stamping Polish in Black, American Apparel Sunshine State, Zoya Kimber, and stamping plate BP-65 from Born Pretty Store with the Born Pretty Silicone Stamping Mat. You can use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order. For the rest of the nails, I used Sinful Colors Dancing Nails. Finished with a coat of Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
Here's a closer look at the Born Pretty Silicone Stamping Mat. I choose the smaller one that they had and I really like it. The mat is a good size for the area I usually work at and I like that it makes it so much easier to clean up any mess I create afterwards using it. I'm super excited to use it to create more stamping decals now.
I did a pretty simple decal here but I'm excited to use the nail art mat for creating more detailed decals in the future. What do you think?
*Born Pretty Store sent the Born Pretty Silicone Stamping Mat for review purposes. My opinion is 100% honest. Post does contain affiliate links.*

Happy Monday Blues! I booked an appointment at a hair salon this Wednesday for a hair cut so I'm excited for that. My hair isn't super long but its getting there so I can't wait to get it cut a bit shorter. I might be coloring my hair too but I'm still undecided. If I do get it colored, I'm only getting highlights just to start out with since I've never dyed my hair before. Anyways, let's see the nail art.
First, I used China Glaze Ray-diant on my ring and middle nail. Next, I used Black Dahlia Lacquer Heavenly Blue for the rest of the nails. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
I was feeling a bit lazy this day so I just did a pretty simple manicure. Usually when I do my nails, I usually go for simple manicures like this though. What do you think?

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is inspired by your partner. I wasn't able to do this theme since I don't have a partner so instead, I'm just sharing a simple summer skittle manicure.
Starting with my pinky, I used American Apparel Neon Yellow, American Apparel Neon Orange, American Apparel Neon Coral, American Apparel Neon Green, and American Apparel Neon Blue. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
I used all American Apparel neon polishes since I thought they would look fun together as a skittle manicure. I also don't don't wear a lot of neons o having all these bright colors on my nails was fun. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! I've been wanting to do some traveling this year or early next year so I've been doing some basic planning and researching. But before I finalize anything, I have to get a passport first. I've never traveled any where before other than Victoria two times so hopefully I can travel to another country soon. Anyways, let's see the nail art.
First, I used Layla Hologram Effect Nail Polish 04 Ultra Violet on all the nails. Next, I stamped with Born Pretty Stamping Nail Polish 9# with stamping plate BP-L052 from Born Pretty Store. You can use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your entire order. Lastly, I finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
Here's a closer look at stamping plate BP-L052. I really like how each design is so detailed and big. This stamping plate would definitely work for someone with either short or long nails too.
I was pretty pleased with how these turned out. I tried my best to get the image stamped as straight as I could on the nails and I think I did a pretty good job in the end. What do you think?

Hi everyone! I have a quick polish swatch to share today so let's get right into it.
Dearberry Today Nail Lacquer #21 Pink Sprinkling is a bright pinky red creme. I got this polish from purchasing a Memebox a while back in a color themed box. I love a good creme polish and this one was pretty great. The formula was good and the application was smooth. I like that the brush on the polish is the wider flat type too. If Dearberry was available to me more readily, I would totally pick up some more colors since I enjoy the colors I already own. This is two coats.
This color is also perfect to wear during the warmer season of Spring and Summer too. The color isn't all that unique but the great formula and application on it makes it a pretty great polish for me. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! The weather has been warm but its not too hot every day which is good. I had a nice birthday so thank you everyone for the well wishes. As I'm getting older, one of my main things I want to do is travel so I'm going to start planning a trip for next year at least. Anya's, let's see today's polish.
Nostalgic Nail Lacquer Rio has a mix of blue and purple hexagon glitters with small holographic grey glitters in a clear base. I really like the mix of colors and the two different sizes of hexagon glitters in this polish. I found the polish to be very clear base heavy so I really had to apply a thick coat to get a good glitter coverage on the nails. Over than that, application on it was good for me. I did use a little of the dabbing method to get some glitters placed where I wanted it to be on the nails though. This is two coats over Nicole by OPI Alex By The Books.
I love the look of this glitter polish but wished it wasn't so clear base heavy. I think I'll probably try sponging the glitter on next time to avoid the bubbling from happening too. What do you think?

Here's my product empties for June. I was sad to see some things go but overall, I was pretty happy with what I was able to empty out. Let's see the products and what I thought of them then.
1. Hello Everybody Nature Holic Body Lotion - Milk
This was my daily body moisturizer that I was currently using these past few months. I really liked it a lot too. It didn't have much of a scent to it and it was very hydrating on my skin. I like the packaging of it and it lasted me quite a while too. This would be something I would repurchase.
2. LadyKin Broccoli Extract 90% Essence Toner
This was the toner I was currently using and I really liked it a lot. Its suppose to moisturize and sooth the skin while providing a whitening effect. I didn't notice much whitening happening but I did like how these toner made my skin feel. This toner absorbed really quickly into the skin and helped to prep my skin for the rest of my skincare routine. I would totally repurchase another bottle too.
3. amie Radiant Dawn Exfoliating Daily Wash
This was my morning cleanser that I was using. I really enjoyed it too. I won this product in a giveaway and was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked it. It has exfoliating beads in it so I felt like it was really giving my skin a thorough cleanse. Definitely a product I would consider purchasing.
4. Rosemoon Rich 53% Collagen Smart Balm
This was my morning moisturizer that I was using. I felt like kept the skin hydrated throughout the day when I had it on. Since I do have dry skin, I liked this cream quite a lot because. The scent is a faint fresh smell which I like too.
5. Neutrogena All-inOne Make-up Removing Cleansing Wipes
These are makeup wipes that removes all types of face, lip, and eye makeup. I don't wear a lot of makeup on a daily basis so I thought these did an okay job removing what makeup I have on. The cloths themselves weren't very moist so I found them a little on the dry side. Since it was on the dry side, I found myself having to really rub my skin to get the makeup off which I didn't like. Probably not something I would buy a full size of.
That's all for my product empties for June. I'm most sad to see the toner gone but hopefully after I used up all the other skincare products I have, I can purchase another bottle of it since I did really enjoy it. Let me know what you've emptied out this month too.

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is inspired by your childhood. When I was younger, my favorite color was pink so I wanted to do an all pink manicure. Today is also my birthday! I don't have much planned for the day though since I have work but I have the next two days off so I might go shopping and treat myself to something. Anyways, let's see the manicure.
I used Hard Candy Little Bo Pink on all the nails. I placed two pieces of 3mm striping tape from Born Pretty Store on each nail and painted OPI Pink Friday on top. Use coupon code YCL91 for 10% off your order. Before the polish fully dried, I peeled the striping tape off. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
I've been really into stripes lately so I was very happy with how these nails turned out. I love the look of the thicker stripes by using some thicker strips of striping tape too. What do you think?

Happy Monday Blues! I can't believe its already July and that the year is halfway over. Its actually my birthday tomorrow so I'm happy about that even though I'm getting older. I do have work on my birthday but after that, I have two days off which is great so I'm planning to go out to do some shopping. Anyways, let's see the polish I'm sharing today.
MisQs Kaya Nail Polish GR001 is a bright turquoise blue creme. I don't know why, but my pictures of it makes it look like a sky blue which it isn't. Its definitely a more true vibrant turquoise color in real life so I'm sorry that my pictures aren't really showing how the polish really looks like. I really like this color and I have worn this polish several times already too. From all the MisQs polishes that I have, this is probably one of my favorites from the brand. Formula and application was great on it as well. This is two coats.
I'm a big fan of this color so I'm happy to have it in my collection. I also love good creme polishes which this totally is. What do you think?
